Myself and my boyfriend had a lovely few days in Rome - the architecture, the art, the history - perfection. We also took a day trip out to Vatican City. As you can see in the video this was a super cheap day trip and it was just so amazing to see the Raphael Rooms, the Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Square, etc.
How could I not give a whole paragraph for the food. The food was incredible. I was warned that the food was not up to the standard of the Amalfi Coast (and I would probably agree) however, it was better than anything I would cook for myself :) My main recommendations from the trip would be Ristorante Il Falchetto and That's Amore Restaurant.

Did a hectic 12 hours in Rome while interrailing and did the Vatican, Colosseum, Trevi fountain, the steps and pizza/pasta stops - sensational spot 🥰

I think somehow humans can just like spot their countrymen, my husband is Swedish and I am American and we can always spot those out and about but probably wouldn’t notice an Irish person if we didn’t hear them talk!

There’s definitely something we see in people from our homeland. It’s the way we dress or carry ourselves… I dont know what it is but I always spot the Spaniards I see out abroad, 99% of the time Im right and the other 1% they are Italian or Southern French who I find similar in a really funny way 😂

I am going to Italy in October. So thanks for the advice. How bad was the pick pockets? I have heard horror stories.
We had no issues in regards to pick pocketing. I'd say just be watchful when walking around the Colosseum!
