He left this world with experiences only few people dream to have experienced. A great father, a great racer and more importantly a great man. I hope there is a big cushion for you to run in heaven... RIP JJ #41
Find myself here quite often your the definition of a wonderful human being and I try to learn from you as much as possible your legacy is so much more than you know
Died doing what he loved. Every driver knows this could happen. God bless his family, I know it's hard. You can only make this sport so safe. Prayers up. ❤
So sad, Jason was one of my favorites. He was wicked fast @ Devil's Bowl this year. Bobbi sent me a nice thank you note when I bought his T-shirt. Prayers to her and their son, Jaxx. RIP Jason, you will truly be missed.
2 years gone now, today, June 24th, was the last time he climbed in the cockpit before he met his end during the feature at Beaver Dam Raceway. I remember waking up in a hotel in Plymouth, Indiana hoping for good news after I went to bed the night before. I miss JJ and what I feel he brought to the Outlaws. #FOREVER41
Absolutely beautiful video thank you world of outlaws and forever thank you Jason Johnson hope the outlaws retire 41 definitely deserves it in my opinion
I love dirt track racin but sometimes it deals a crushing blow. This is 1 of those times. Many prayers and much love to your family and friends. #forever41
Watched this guy numerous times and was amazed everytime.. seen him in Beaumont TX take a provisional start 24th and drive to 3rd in 25 laps.. guy pushed a sprint car harder than I've ever seen anyone push one.. R.i.p. Mr. Johnson
This sport that I love so much has so many highs, then things like this happens and take us to horrific lows. We mourn the loss as part of the racing community. Life keeps marching on. Godspeed Jason. Gone but not forgotten.
Always a driver that was the spoiler as noted for his win at knoxville 2016 Jason was always a crowd favorite watched him for a number of years you will be missed sir. #forever41
What a shame. This really sucks for all of us folks on Earth, but in Heaven the angles are celebrating because a great man has returned to them. Rest in peace, Jason Johnson.
I didn't even know he was gone until now. I found him about a month ago and he soon became my favorite driver. Such a nice guy I just wish I could have met him. This is terrible.
How many of us get to go out doing exactly what we love doing? Rarely. To the track, good Lord, why no catch fence between your ridiculous ads and the race track. I live near Lernerville Speedway, this beaver dam track is like a reverse Lernerville layout, except for the no catch fencing and obvious hazards
j25harbi Franklin Pa, about an hour and 30 min. north. I was actually mistaken, when I saw the JJ crash I thought it was turn one, I heard it was turn three. So it is like Lernerville with that pit lane. Lernerville doesn’t have all those billboards and no guard rail on the back. These sprints need space to slow down. Especially when flipping. Yeah “the action track” isn’t that what they call lernerville?
He did smash the tip of his cage on the wall before going over the wall, who knows witch took the life from him, cant believe i didnt have him sign my helmet or something during the jackson nationals i wrecked in my class (305) and wanted to ask but i know as a racer most like to be left alone til after race 😭
He was racing on Saturday @ Beaver Dam Raceway in WI. He was leading when caution flew and on restart it looked like he wiggled coming out of turn two which sent him to the outer groove. Pittman got under him and Jason ran out of room at the end of the backstretch. It looks like he climbed the outside wall and went tumbling through turn three. Car hit a few billboard signs that were lining the track. He was airlifted out to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. He was doing great on the track as usual, racing fast. This year seemed to be a great year for him. So so sad.
My thoughts on this are that something drastic should be done with safety in sprint cars. Namely, world of outlaws races at too many different tracks, and many of these tracks safety standards are frankly shit. Outlaws and other dirt tracking racing organizations need to do a better job of inspecting the tracks and surroundings, do a better job with fences and cushions, safety barrier type stuff. The tracks that are least safe should no longer be raced at, at least by the Outlaws. So do a better job with safety like Nascar did after Dale Sr. died. Also the winged sprintcars themselves need a design overhaul for better safety of the driver.
You can watch him in the # 22 here ruclips.net/video/hV5P8ULs7t0/видео.html & search racewayvideo channel for more. That's how I knew him, tearin shit up in Ohio in ASCoC in the HTI # 22. RIP JJ

He had became my favorite driver. Truly saddened by his loss. #Forever41
I was there and it was a very VERY scary crash. My prayers go out to his family and his friends❤️ you will be missed
It was a very scary crash from the videos but.... what killed him??? I mean they flip all the time and even go outside the track and they walk away.
Ricky Keyser rollcage hit the concrete wall,
then the buildboards sealed the deal.
Rip legend l..hope you are racing with clauson and leffler in heaven
Logan Rumsey and Dave Steele
Aiden Koss yea

Where you live? I can hear Lernerville loud speakers from my house.

Jason was known as The Cajun Sensation during this 2001 Ohio Speedweek race..ruclips.net/video/hV5P8ULs7t0/видео.html. Jason's heat starts at 09:30
Not sure but I bet KNOXVILLE will do the same thing they did when CLAUSON passed away
