    Great stuff. Glad someone is reporting what I’ve basically been saying over the years.
    What I’d like to see is stop wind turbine building. Cancel all solar projects. And start working with oil and gas companies to run at least generators in case of issues that can keep our oil and gas grid running. This will be a start on keeping a lot of facilities running that keep the pipeline line movement going. That also means refinery utilization needs a generator system.
    Then let’s start removing these eye soars and get lands back to producing more cattle and crops. At least oil and gas work with these situations better and replace with grasses to keep the environment looking green and fresh.
    I can go on and on but I’m tired of paying double + on electric. That started in San Angelo when the San Angelo solar farm started.
    Get rid of it all.

    I was paying an average of 130.00 a month for electricity and since 2020 my bill started increasing to the point now where I am paying over 250.00 per month. I assume that the wind and solar that has been forced on us by the subsidies as well as some politicians who have benefitted from the lobbyist has caused my bill to rise. I have actually raised my thermostat and cut the use of lighting, and my bill has not decreased.
    I will be writing my representatives in an effort to stop the use of wind and solar to power the great state of Texas.
    Very informative presentation. Keep up the good work.

      Yes absolutely. Here’s a good comparison: Small 50MW nuclear supplying small town 24/7, built on approximately 5 acres. Solar equivalent needs 1000 acres and only supplies reliable power when sun shines. Wind turbines, 4000 acres, only active and supplying power when wind is right! The West is being played and deconstructed with this crap, China is a big winner, laughing at us while we decimate our economies. They supply most of the parts whilst building more and more coal fired power stations. Hypocrisy of the highest. The liberal left (aka Marxism) across the West are trying to take us down. We drove into Amarillo this morning from vacationing in New Mexico to see thousands of windmills not moving at all. Stopped for lunch, drove out of Amarillo & same thing on the east side - thousands of windmills & none spinning. ERCOT claimed they didn't have to call for blackouts because windmills & solar were doing such a good job. How can they when they arwn't spinning? And remember when the wind gets up to around 20 mph, windmills have to be turned off because higher wind speeds damage them. wtf??? I think ERCOT believes windmills & solar are doing a great job because they & politicians are getting big kickbacks from the ugly things.

    When talking about green energy, most of the time nobody mentions the down side of all these wind turbines and solar panels. What happens when wind turbines wear out, when solar panels wear out. Where do you dispose of all those things? Are you going to bury all of it in the ground? We already have enough junk buried in the ground? Biggest problem about green energy is it is NOT reliable. That should be enough said.

      New Wind Turbine blades have been designed for recycle, and Silicon Solar PV is 100% recyclable -- at a profit. Silicon Solar PV are made from Silicon Dioxide (Glass) Silicon (the photocells), and Aluminum (frame and conductors). Silicon and Oxygen are the most common elements on Earth, and Aluminum is the most common metal. These are infinity recyclable. Silicon Solar PV is the most reliable electricity generation on earth. The Sun comes up every day. And yes, it works on cloudy days, too. Solar PV runs totally unattended for decades on islands and buoys. It even runs remotely in Space. Sustainable energy is possible... but currently available technology is nowhere near up to the task yet. The Net Energy Return of solar and wind methods, for example, are either plagued by problems relating to very low net energy return, or they require rare and finite mineral resource inputs that, if the technologies were scaled up, those resources would be depleted before enough infrastructure could be built to sustain current living standards. Current alternative energy schemes also rely almost exclusively on the use of fossil fuels for manufacture, deployment and maintenance, so alternative means of production must be developed as well, and we're just not there yet. The problem of sustainable energy is not the only challenge; we must also learn to live sustainably in relation to a very wide range of natural resource inputs and even ecological systems upon which all life depends. The decline of fossil fuel use is inevitable and it has already begun. The global aggregate for conventional oil production is already in terminal decline, with that inflection point having been reached in 2014, and the unconventional sources will soon follow... sources like deep water oil platforms and shale oil that's obtained with hydro-fracking technology. Nobody knows exactly when global fossil fuel production will finally go into it's forever free-fall, but according to recently retired petroleum geologists and engineers who are no longer in fear of losing their jobs for letting the cat out of the bag, it won't be long... Perhaps by mid century at the very latest. Humans managed to survive a very long time on this earth before steam engines or electric power plants that run on wood, coal, or natural gas, for example... but the human population was a fraction of what it is today, so there were far more recourses available per person, and that would include essentials like drinkable water and fertile soils for growing food and livestock. So energy is just a part of the broader challenge, which is for all of humanity to live within the long term limits of what the earth and nature have to give.

    • @stephaniebond4699
      @stephaniebond4699 Месяц назад

      No such thing. It's fake. "Sustainable" energy is a term created to "sound good." Every form of energy production takes effort to maintain, repair, replace the parts of which it is made. Get rid of all the subsidies and let the market bring the cost of energy down. That's the only way anything useful can happen with wind, solar, geothermal -- any form of energy.
      Cheaper energy today is what solar and wind need to be able to develop in any meaningful way. They have to compete with the best that fossil fuels and nuclear (and others) have to offer.

    • @MisfitTina
      @MisfitTina 3 дня назад

      That’s nonsense. The US has enough oil to supply us and other countries for hundreds of years. We just refuse to drill it because these lunatics are in charge and they want population control. @jamesbobreski9353 Месяц назад

    Let me make this as simple as possible, if you produce your own power via solar and/or wind no one can take it away from you, in terms of general outage anywhere. I am just not a catastropizer like this video. If it were possible to produce your own energy then it would reduce greatly the power to control people. War or terrorism would be less effective on an individual so equiped.
    The initial story about what happened in Texas was because of an indequate grid system and the failure to insulate the valves of the gas distribution units. Most of wind and solar units were still working during that storm. Some windturbines were iced over. If the blades are not properly maintained then ice can form on them much more easily.
    Dependence on commercial power during a catastrophy presents a whole different environment. For example in a military confrontation, it would take only 9 key nuclear plants destroyed in this country to shut the whole country down for a long time.

    Doesn't the governor have anything to say about this, can't he stop it and insist on Nuclear or some other kind of reliable source of power, if not the governor the President should be able to make demands.

      The President is the major reason this has happened. He shook hands with the devil and said he'd do all he could to get the subsidies financed.

      The Governor can approve it but the tree huggers instantly stop it and what company wants to build a nuclear power plant with all kinds of regulations that make it unprofitable.

    Wind power contraptions are a big blemish on our lands abd seas. They are killers of birds and sea creatures. I woukd like to see a financial analysis of these projects as well as TRUE environmental impact statements open to the public before the projects are allowed to proceed.

    Wind and Solar at best is a very expensive source of supplement electrical power at best. It was never reliable. Turbines are ugly and unsafe.

    Edison didn't give us the electric grid, Tesla was responsible.

      Tesla gave us free and infinitely available energy. Edison gave us the grid so that banks and power and energy companies could charge us.

    This entire video is very suspicious. People have been putting fiberglass boats into shredders for decades and landfilling them, and then acting like you have to line them up in a field.

    The answer lies in the mix of technologies, embrace it all. We need an hodgepodge of many sources to make this current system work. The concept that no man is an island is true with energy as well. Of course the solar PV technologies work, storage batteries work but best on localized micro-grids or off grid homes and cabins. These technologies are not so useful to drive factories and industry so we need both. Like Totally EV cars are not so nice when travelling cross country but an hydrid PV/EV/Fuel would be much better with way less stops along the way. At some point in the far distant future we are sure mankind will invent some magical all encompassing energy source to power all things electrical upon this planet but that source might not be anything that is in the mix here and now. Invention with innovation rocks our world. Current energy mix is the box, lets take think outside the box to an whole different level.

      No the answer is fossil fuels. Always has been always will be. It’s also renewable but nobody ever talks about that. There’s nothing renewable about wind turbines and solar panels.

      @@gregorybarth930 Silicon Solar PV is the most reliable generation on Earth. Sun comes up every day (yes, every day), and the equipment is Solid State (no moving parts) and can run for Decade(s) with ZERO maintenance. Also now the cheapest, by far.
