I hate to be negative but in the cold light of day does having Douglas Luiz in our team make us more likely to be successful this season over selling him and having those two random players and a bit of cash? Imo it definitely weakens us and without him who was someone instrumental in our good performances especially the 1st two thirds of the season severely damage our chances next season of a trophy and top 4 finish and progressing deep into the Champions League

been stiffed here lads. Shouldve atleast went in for cambiaso or miretti aswell as illing jr if mckennie isnt coming in. havnt got a fucking clue who enzo is but clearly not the same valuation as our best midlfielder.

Surprised you didn’t mention Iling Jr playing a saka role on the right wing. Seems like he has the potential to do it
With Lenglet going back to his parent club, I seriously feel a CB is needed. Uncertainty at how Mings will be post injury and unsure if Carlos is good enough to suit the way Emery wants to play. We have no real promising CBs coming through the academy who are ready to step into the first team squad. Loving all the activity so far and potential links in Onana and Gallaghar but what do you think about our CB situation going into the upcoming season? UTV!

I've heard other reports say we are accepting 20 million euros and their two players, surely that's not the case is it? I've also read tha Iling Jr and Enzo will have sell on clauses, do you know if this is true?

I think the words you were searching for was probably "ongoing evolution" for the comings and goings of AVFC players I can only see exciting times ahead. PS no one seems to be mentioning Ms Lehmman heading into the sunset with Mr Luiz 🙄
emery knows Luiz time was coming to an end , and it looked like his form cratered at the 2nd half of the yr. The 2 prospects plus cash to help buy the real luiz replacement, makes sense. seems like this could be a major deal , but time will tell.

According to you guys these players are most likely not gonna be next season ready, so we’re obviously getting the shit end of the stick in this Luiz deal. I think we’ll drop more points from this deal than we would have with possible point deductions if we kept Luiz.
We’ll sign another midfielder who is ready to go and play straight away

I think he will start using rogers as the second striker which is what he wanted to do when he brought him in, but had to play him from the left as we had no one left. By the looks of it Moreno is off back to Spain - so that leaves maatsen/digne left back, and Ramsey/illing junior on the left.
Whilst 42/43 million seems low for Luiz, getting the two players for 10 million each looks like value and if just 1 of them has the 'Emery" improvement, we'll have got the better side of the deal. Sorry to see Dougie go but needs must whilst we have PSR to deal with.
If I remember correctly, when we bought Kamara, he was playing in a more advanced midfield position for Marseille, similar to Luis. Now that we have Enzo could that be another option, push Kamara forward a bit.
Late to the party but rather think Iling Junior is the Neil Ricoh of the deal………. Do hope Unai progresses him as a saleable purchase better than that particular time in our history….#UTV💙💜
Will Illing Jr be trained to play the same type of role as Bailey? Seems the most logical role for him in the team.

Is there any truth in that of we get clear off psr by the end of June, we are free to spend up to 250 million, and depending on if we get top 4 this season we can spend about the same next summer
I doubt it, in terms of £250m. That's a ridiculously big number, we're fine in terms of PSR though and can spend a little more freely, but would expect £60m or so, is my rough guess.
Having Dan back makes the podcast always more enjoyable to listen to
