Hi there! I just wanted to say that I have been checking out your channel, and I love the variety of things you show. I love when I see collections that are way more than just figures! Figures are great, but art books, music, and other stuff are also amazing to see. Anyway, thank you so much for your content!😄

I got Merlin way back when you could ship him by boat so I was lucky there, it sucks DHL is the only option for Canada right now. I love fate grand order but Merin design is really pretty. Even if you don't like fate the Babylon anime is really good which he is in.

I could have shipped him by boat back when it was available but I chose not too because there’s a higher chance of damage the longer a package is in transit /: but I ended up spending so much money I’m not sure if it was worth it lol.

@@CaptiveCollector I was worried too but the box was fine and I didn't mind the wait, it was worth it in the end because of the DHL prices it sucks...I've been ordering from Amazon jp for some figures cause it's sometimes cheaper than the DHL shipping more so for heavy or big figures. And no customs or Fees to pay when you get the figure it's why I haTe courier services

Yea Amazon Japan is pretty decent for that. I’ve gotten some figures from them as well when the price is right.

omg that amiami box!! I preordered merlin from them, they agreed to hold him until cheaper shipping than dhl came back, after a year they wanted me to pay the extra (with over tax it would have cost me over $560 for him which was insane, so I cancelled him and lost over $50 to currency fluctuation and still no Merlin, then I ordered him from a store which WOULD use a smaller box so he could go via surface and then like over a year after he released i finally got him, probably the most hassle i've gone through for a figure but he looks great and i'm glad you were able to get him as well

Yea I probably ended up spending that much on him too haha. It’s disgusting. Breaks my heart a little. And I do have some issues with him. Some things about it that don’t look like the prototype that bother me lol.

He's so pretty! Although I do definitely agree about the hair.
Alter's female version Merlin Prototype looks like it could be gorgeous too. I hope they don't do the clear hair for that one.

I hope not >.< I probably won’t end up getting her since her design is so similar to male Merlin but she does look very pretty

I've heard that the oil is from the plastic material that the model is made from. That once the model is pressed, it needs time to rest and settle. And that during that resting period, some of the oil in the plastic makes its way to the surface. So its not "extra" oil that is being added to the outside of the model. (like from a machine or an accidental spill) Its more like the model is sweating out the excess oil that was in the plastic.
That is what I was told. I'm not an engineer or anything. So don't take this as gospel.

Oh interesting! I’ve never thought about that. I still don’t like it haha. I hate when they end up all greasy. It’s weird, I’ve been collecting for a long time but it feels like it’s only started happening more recently to figures. But maybe I had just gotten lucky before. Who knows? Lol
