Thanks a lot for the explanation. In multisite deployment with centralized server, I think the connection of HQ and BR Routers should be over WAN for the registration of the IP Phones in BR with the CUCM

Generally we do VPN/ipsec tunneling between offices then why can't registration be auto. If IP Phone at Branch can reach TFTP server then I think we can do auto registration also !!!

IP Phone registered in HQ Cluster if wan link is down whether the same phone has been registered with different cluster .Will it work?
