I read that the 3rd and 4th Beethoven concertos both shared references to Mozart concertos. Can't understand why people want to make musical hierarchies, anyway.
Evgeny Kissin nous montre, au travers d'une technique éblouissante, tout le génie de Beethoven, dans ce chef d'œuvre d'une pureté absolue. Kissin est assurément le meilleur pianiste de notre époque.
In my personal case, this is the best Beethoven piano concerto because it connects me intimately with the author's musical intellectuality. The rendition of the orchestra and E Kissin are supreme
Incredibly beautiful! Respect to the best composer that ever lived (although there were many great ones that come close) and for Evgeny Kissin doing an amazing job playing it!
Thank you for posting this sublime concerto. Evgeny Kissin is one of the very best pianists today and his interpretations are always inspiring. He plays with such vigor and yet such sensitivity: He always knows how to shape the music into its best possible form.
evgeny kissin has the Midas touch of the piano keyboard. For whatever repertoire he plays is just exhilarating that is why he is the best living pianist a title only given to this young genius. He just make me love listening to Beethoven's piano concertos never ending. Thank you.
This is the best that there has ever been! He played better than all. Very sharp and fine. The key-touching is amazing and unique. So pure sound. This is the style of kissin.
I have Heard Kissin paying since he Was a Child in New York and always Was very exciting but Beethoven concert #4 is my favorite so moving so intimate so beatifully performed as you feel genious composer awakes your soul... Bravo Kissin
Very, very nice, without any Firlefanzen, no effects of rubatos, clear, einfühlsames Tempo, not to much of all, precise im Hier und Jetzt! Und das Orchester very lebendig und mobil on point. Gute Dramatik but not dominating at all. Thx und Danke Beethoven.

Wow! I'm glad I got to hear Kissin play with the BSO. I was able to meet him and get a photo and autograph, too. Hope to hear him live again one day. This 4th piano concerto is amazing. The playing and interpretation is so fluid and magical.
You were 6-years-old, hanging out in the living room, the weather was quite wintry that afternoon, and Beethoven's 4th piano concerto was playing in the background inside your home.
Saw this with the London Community Orchestra (Ontario, CA), last Sunday. Leslie Kinton was performing piano, and so far, no other pianists have topped his energy and flow, the way he pulled the orchestra along with him was intense and dare I say magical. As of yet, all the videos I've heard have not half the passion he had when he played.
Best Beethoven Concerto.
Greatest composer. Greatest pianist. Great conductor. Amazingly talented orchestra. Expected result.
Patrick Burnett ,beethoven greatest composer ever j o

Gorgeous interpretation of a fantastic concert by Beethoven!
I will never shop at the website whose crude noisy ads have twice (so far) interrupted this performance.
Pure listening pleasure. Plus, and it seems very timely, no coughing in the background during the quiet passages. Lovely.
Everything comes together here like the Sorcerer and his Apprentice. Take my word for it; believe me.
27:02 - 27:12 I can listen to this passage until the end of time

Best piano playing ever.
Vlad Bourceanu But in the cadenza he is really disappointing, check Gilels and Szell, a new world, also Zimerman/Bernstein is better overall.
i agree .. cadenza is not at the top plaied
0:00 is a great place to start.
I don't know why but this concerto always awakes the winter feeling in me

beautiful
Mozartean elegance and simplicity coupled with Beethoven's prophetic power.
Ludwig♥️E v g e n y💗💗💗💕💕💕Fantastic💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
Sublime
We need a middle finger icon along with the thumbs-up, and thumbs-down icons for when, the ever increasing, RUclips ads interrupt the music!
The Leon Fleischer version with Szell is one of my favorites.
+Leonard Enrique Mine too, absolutely. I also like Zimerman with Bernstein very much.
+Leonard Enrique
Respectfully, mine would be Serkin/Ormandy/Philadelphia (1962)
Wilhelm Kempff is great as well

Pianos are so nice. You should try tinkering with one in a church. Just wait and listen to where the sounds take you.
+Andre Newcomb From one sound unto the next sound. And on.
곧 다가올 봄을 우리들은 같이 기다립니다.^^&^^
4:00 is alright
28:16; 31:18
