In slab the mesh will be same..like you told in raft foundation that the main bar will be in the bottom and top mesh the main bar will be on the top..its same for slabs also?
You didn't cleared up on which direction the main and distribution bar are placed,means how do you lay the bars depending upon the size of the area.i.e length * breadth??
The most useful thing in a slab is a concrete chair. The rate is Rs. 27 whereas if iron is used instead, it will cost Rs. 150. This way a lot of money can be saved by using a chair in a building.
Raft foundation behave exactly opposite of slabs. .we will provide extra steel in mid span for raft top and extras will be provided at bottom of raft for columns, shear wall and core wall

Main bars are placed on shorter span
