the future of precision rifles is here, or at least a very interesting complete redesing of a popular type of rifle, from the cutout of the action to the expansion chamber in the barrel leaves a lot of questions. and we cant wait to try one of these out on the channel. this was at Shot show 2025
This thing is sick! Really excited to see how these shoot. Maybe the coolest thing I saw at shot!
@MountainsMulletsMercia Would be interested to know how that draft barrel regulates heat blowing that hot gas back over the inner pencil barrel? Your whole barrel is essentially a suppressor. So questions re shot strings and cool down, accuracy and mirage, etc. When you get your hands on one and make us a video. I know what he says in the video but I want to see it haha 😁
It's crazy to see how little coverage there is in this thing. It's badass, I will for sure be getting one
I may just have to try this out. Very interesting design. The extra internal volume should make this platform very quiet. Great job guys.
Sorry I missed you at the show, man!
But yes, these rifles were awesome; very interested to see where they go :).
hey Man! yeah i spotted you a few times from far. man this was a busy show for me!
Love this rifle concept and will definitely be getting one. So the chamber is inside the barrel extension which is separate from the rest of the rifle. I wonder if you could swap out barrel extensions for different rounds in the same caliber class (say 6 mm Creedmoor to 243) and use the same barrel and action?
Do you have to use that carbon barrel or can you put an outlier regular barrel in it as well with the suppressor?
Looks cool. Might need a dust cover on it though.
Had me sold at sub 2k my dawg 🔥🔥🔥
Did he just say everything pictured at sub 2K? That is incredible! I am on board, but I have serious doubts about if that can really be achieved at sub 2K. If that can be done, every other company is in serious trouble with regard to market share.
I wish there was a distributor in Canada for their barrels
What about barrel accuracy? Its going to be very hot after 5 shots?
From my understanding, no. It will take many more rounds before it's hot
@@EpikArmswhy?
Hot gases from the can will heat barell
He says in the video they shot it 145 times and it had no mirage and maintained sub 1/4 moa
@@saltyOG I heard this, but I can't understand why :)
same. i want t know as well. im likely going to have EM precision take a look at it and get a gunsmith opinion. in addition to mine before we test all our ammo throught it. quie and interesting concept. i ment they turned over the optics industry with Arken, im vry interested to see what they can do with Outlier
How much was that?
thanks for this vid. can you tell me when it will be out to buy? you know when/if they ship to europe? can you tell me the "name" of this rifle, so i can find it in the online shops? greetings
I wanna see some drop tests on this
What are the odds of this getting to Canada
i might be getting one some time in the summer.
Definitely not your grandpa's rifle. Interesting times for sure!
Did he explain how one goes about cleaning the barrel being used as an 'expansion chamber'?
@@1ABNDT I was literally thinking of that as I edited the video
Forget which guntuber it was but on their video, he mentioned you do not have to clean it. And you will shoot out the barrel before you will get it to that point. but IDK. im sure you can just flood the "flutes" with your choice of gun cleaner and run a nylon brush on a rod to scrub it a bit.
do you need to clean the expansion chamber? I think it would be regular barrel cleaning to remove lead and carbon from the rifling.
@elendal perhaps you need to revisit the video to see how it is designed.
@@1ABNDT Looking 4:42 looks like a carbon sleeve over a ported pencil barrel. Am I missing something?
some companies are really thinking outside the square of late. It's like the mind juices have all kicked in big time across the board.
Two piece action connected by your scope rail with a super proprietary barrel extension that is also half of your action? ... wow. Why? What problem are we trying to solve here? Why wouldn't you just use a normal action and screw your barrel in normally?
Expansion chamber barrels? Adding heat back down into the barrel? Probably not a great idea. This also opens up a ruling where you're barrel could be considered part of your suppressor and needs to be serialized. And then your other expansion chamber/ reflex barrels are considered suppressor parts without another serialized Form 4 to justify their existence. I personally hope it doesn't go that way but you never know what the future brings.
I have worked with Eastern Europeans and this type of innovation is exactly on point for them. They engage real hard in divergent thinking, generating all kinds of crazy ideas, but then fail to follow up with the convergent part of critical thinking where they trim away at the wild ideas using constraints to generate viable and feasible options.
Does he have a permit to work/ live in USA
Who? The rep is a US citizen dumbass
I'll take the BRX1 in the new Grey Birch MFG chassis & mag adapter to use pmags.
Ugliest logo in the history of logos.
it will go nowhere.... a solution looking for a problem that doesnt exist.
Ya shooting sport is not for the poor that’s for sure!
Pay more for less gun... Let's see how this works out for them
