I got an ebay refurbished pixel 6 for $189 and its super smooth, fast processor, and battery lasts a full day plus half the next day. Im pretty picky about my phones but was very surprised and impressed with this phone. Software updates make it very good in mid 2023
This is such a Great Phone! Mine is exactly the same color as the one you are displaying in this video! I pre-ordered mine on it's launch date. And since that time, I've been using it as a daily driver alongside my other phone the Samsung Galaxy S22+. The phone's build quality is Great, yet the modem does loose connection from time to time whenever it receives new updates. For Daily uses, this phone is Always ready, I love the fact when doing app updates, and when starting it up, this thing Rocks! The camera department for just a Pixel 6, works great too, also add the fact that when taking pictures on it, I've never had any problems (with file corruptions such as Samsung) loosing pictures on it either! To me, it was the best $699 dollar phone I've spent. I only wished Google would have added Face Unlock capability on the device. This was also the time whenever Google created a new device, features such as Face Unlock found on the Pixel 4, was missing on the Pixel 6. This October, I'll be upgrading to the Pixel 8 Pro and excited to see what new offerings that phone will offer, who knows, maybe some other missing features from the Pixel 6, hope and better now, If I'm going to spend over 1k on it. The new job for the current Pixel 6 will be using it as a RUclips Music Player instead of a Daily Driver Phone.
I enjoy my Pixel 6. I cast this video from my phone to my smart TV. I'm binge watching videos and drinking coffee at midnight. You hit on some good points and i like that move will be supported until October 2026.
@@factinthebox1247 right from the beginning my phone worked perfect and still does. I did accidentally break the charging port which was my fault, and even the replacement works perfect. Even my fingerprint scanner isn't bad. I don't understand the big deal over a split second of "delay" because it's not like there's a raptor and I have to call someone to save me haha. The only issue is it's gotten warm in the sun but that'll happen to a Samsung and iPhone too depending on what you're doing and I was either filming, watching video or streaming music when it got too warm but the view one does well. I've heard from others their bugs were largely worked out. There's others like me that never had a problem but others that even on a 7 pro are having issues still, to a degree. Duds perhaps and it even happens with cars where you'll get a new car that's a lemon, even from Toyota or a Honda.
I think the pixel 6 and 6 pro are the best of value proposition on the resalw market right now. The pixel 5 a is really great at like a 100 bucks but it's almost that it's end-of-life. This has over 3 years of security patches left for the pixel 6 which you can find for $200 Domino or the pixel 6 pro which you can find for under 300 . If you want an old Samsung flagship for under 300 you have to find like an S20FE or a note 10 or something.
Fyi: anyone using the $2 a month plan for Google One I think it's a free VPN now as well. It's better to get it for free of course with the Pixel 7 but I would imagine a lot of pixel users are paying for at least the $2 a month plan for Google One just to back up their photos.
I just use Smart Lock on any phone that has a in display fingerprint sensor. I wish every phone would at least have the option of a capacitive fingerprint sensor on the back. How expensive can it be to include that? Don't understand the trend towards in display. I don't know anyone that likes it better. I guess there was some tech reviewers that really embraced the in display because it looked cool but it's always been slower. Even the best in display fingerprint sensor -- almost certainly the ultrasonic option from vivo -- is less convenient than a good capacitive fingerprint sensor on the back ideally or on the power button.
Solid my Galaxy S22 ultra 256 for $568 because I had some unexpected expenses. With the left over $288 I picked up a Google Pixel 6 Pro 256 that is basically flawless. Honestly this was just such a great transition back to a Google device.
I actually got better battery life on my pixel 6 than I did on my pixel 7. Not sure why but with all the updates the 6 seems like it’s better optimized than the 7 was. And I prefer the look of the 6 over the 7.
The Pixel 6 is exactly the same size as Pixel 2XL & 3XL. I have all of them and the cases are interchangeable aside from the camera bar. Long battery life even after a year and a half. Absolutely no problem with the battery life. None. Strong battery.
Been using my 6 since November 2021, recommend the 7 to my dad and the 6a to my mum, I'm either going 8/8 pro next or the S23 series, can't quite decide, I don't like how my battery life went to crap for 3 months, 6 hours of the charger and id be at 30%, barely using it either due to being at work.
Personally, I am going to get a refurbished 6 because the 6a is just a bit small for me. I think both phones are really good, but for me I just prefer bigger phones.
I mean what comparably good Samsung or OnePlus phone could you get for $225? You'd have to get something like a Note 10 or an S10 Plus or maybe an s20 FE. This has a camera that's way better than every single one of those options. And it still gets three more years of security patches whereas the ones I just listed are all at their end of life. I mean the choice between like an a52 or an a53 and a pixel 6 on the resale market isn't even a choice at all. Take the Pixel 6 every time.. It's biggest flaw is its modem which ironically is a Samsung modem. Which is why Google is ditching Samsung as their primary chip manufacturer in 2024.

Hi, how's the speaker of your P6?
@@ml0nit's decent but it's not good for media consumption.

do you still experience bugs?or have they been fixed with updates?

Absolutely. Physical scanners work way better.

It does everyywell. Sadly it gets too hot at times.
UK user.
I got the pixel 6 last year. It's a decent phone that gets the job done but there are still very very few bugs and it gets hot
@@joaquinmathay5668 I just worry all this constant heat will prematurely ruin the battery? 🔥 🔋
Mine also overheats particularly when playing intense games. It gets really too hot.

I am in a dilemma.Should I buy a brand new pixel 6a or a refurbished pixel 6?

Ok photos at night. Otherwise too much hdr and sharpening that can't be dialed down.
Not a good choice in any year.
Nope, still not worth it.

Ya it is... Once Samsung gets their f****** hands off it it'll be a lot better
if you cant afford it, doesnt mean its not worth it 😂
So the modem issue is indeed true huh?....the network drops really as bad as they say....?@@michael_c2
