so very true father so very sad that in our catholic church we don't see much priests taking the time to learn and teach scripture. We pray that the priests make the most of their vocation to study and teach scripture to the laity. As catholics we hardly spend time in the bible and this must change. wow father warner, thank you for the sermon, but I think you are using prophet jeremiah to truly open your heart and express dissatisfaction at us lay people in a way, that perhaps if not for the words of God via prophet jeremiah, people may think OH whats wrong with father warner ? Im not sure if you know that you said todays problem with catholics is that they have ZERO knowledge !! Isn't this a little harsh father..... even if the intention was to send out a message? The phrase..... I am no saint, is true in its words, as in we lay people are no saints, we just try to do the best in our lives while keeping the commandments and in the process commit a sin or two along the way.... but i like the matter of the heart is the heart of the matter.... just as the truth of the fact is the fact of the truth for us lay people :-) cheers and keep the sermons coming father, thank you for your time even while on sabbatical :-) peace father warner
