I think I've cracked the case.
If its a long story, Ralph's past is a secret, his ink color kinda resembles an octoling, and only Callie and Marie know about this. As we know Callie and Marie are agent 1 & 2, and Ralph's color is somewhat of an octoling. So my theory is agent 1 & 2 found Ralgh as an octoling that wanted to be friends with the inklings and play turf wars with them so agent 1 & 2 took Ralph in. Now agent 1 & 2 used\made a machine that could turn octolings into inklings but the cost is the octoling can never go back to the octariens. But the machine can't chage the color of the octariens color only the spawn points can. And the other theory is Ralph is a mimic octopus.

very good theory but how about explaining why Octavia hangs about in inkopolis ! She is an octoling and if ralph is an otoling then why become an inkling if there's Octaivia

@@gale5174 Totally agreeing with you there, I bet my money on 3 since 4 had more of a connection to Marie than Callie. I actually wonder if they'll do a video about Ralph making a agent 3 identity reveal. Would be pretty cool.
Also I couldn't help but notice that Clauds seems to have the sparks like what they used to form into Krakens but when asked about it, she seems to snap utterly out of it and doesn't know what happened, another secret maybe?

Maybe Ralph has a very dark secret and Callie and Marie are keeping it just to keep him safe from enemies who want to capture or arrest him. Maybe he’s a wanted criminal somewhere else. At least that’s my theory.
