Anybody ever used a translucent Arkansas natural novaculite stone. Puts on an unbelievable edge as the final step. Never needs flattering and will never wear out. I have an 8"×2.5"×7/8". You can see through it. Not cheap though..
Hello Wako, I have had the time to try my nagura stones. I found that the slurry of all the nagura stones create a slurry of my chosera 3k stone and only a small bit of the nagura itself. The slurry was Always purple. I believe tenjo made 50/50 slurry of nagura and the 3k stone. Also tenjo felt alot better than botan in my opinion
Hello, I tried my mejiro nagura with my 2000 chosera and it did like you say. Too hard for chosera 2000. Then I tried it with my 600 chosera and it made a nice white slurry. No blue in the slurry. Maybe I will have to get Tenjo or Button for my 2000 and use mejiro with my 600 to make smoother feel. Thanks again for the vids.
Wako San, is it ok to use the nagura as a stone cleaner on all the Shapton Pro stones, not only high grits? I want to use it to clean material from the surface of the Shapton 1K, 2K, 5K, 8K. Will it work as a good stone surface cleaner? Which is better as a general purpose cleaning nagura? Botan or Tanjo? Thanks.

The chosera stones can easily be purchased from suppliers here in the states.
He has a couple of videos showing the site where he gets these from. And they do ship overseas. Been meaning to get in touch with them myself.
Smooth sharpening
Great video!

I'm having trouble finding a US retailer for the tenjo nagura. Anyone have a link?

Maybe yes. But I don't apply Nagura to my 1K and 2K but 3M fabric to wash them.
Don't think there is any, check wako's video ''The correct site which ships 純三河白名倉 overseas '' shipping isnt very pricey
Any of the stones you do not like, would make good give away contest gifts to subscribers.
Where can these be purchased? And the Chosera as well. Thank you, sir.
