No, I didn’t use NIN but it is now required.

What guarantor form? Did you lose your old passport?
@@aircstasy I didn't lose my passport but saw it as a requirement that is why I asked.
Okay, I didn’t use this but a friend of mine who lost his passport was asked for it. I’m 95% sure you don’t need it.

You don't need a guarantor for renewal , minors too don't need it. It is only required for an Adult who has never had a passport before.

Thanks for this video. I got a 20 pounds postal order and I asked for it to be addressed to 'NIGERIA HIGH COMMISSION'. However, I've heard some people say it should be 'NIGERIA HIGH COMMISSION, LONDON'. So my question is, do you think i should get another or do you think the one with just the 'NIGERIA HIGH COMMISSION' will work? Thanks

Is NIN compulsory? I don’t have NIN and passport has expired more than six months, until I came across your video I had no idea how to go about it
If you check the Nigerian immigration site, you would see a list of places you can get it done.

Does not matter really, you get a new passport and the old one becomes invalid. Better to be early than late.

No it won’t, your BRP becomes your visa.

It’s an envelope they give you after paying for your postal order. It will be used to deliver your new passport.

2.If you have only your NIN number but not the slip would that be accepted? I was not given a slip when I did my NIN.

Hello, you’re most welcome.
1. Yes, you should get the postal order and special delivery envelope before the appointment.
You can get this from any post office in the UK and it should be addressed to the Nigeria high commission.
Once you say this, they know what you mean.
2. The NIN is what they need. You can explain if they request for the slip.
@@aircstasy Hello and thanks for your response. I had my biometrics appointment three weeks ago and ensured to submit everything. I was even asked to take a photo of a confirmation slip which I did. However, I am yet to have my passport delivered. I wonder if this is normal, as you seem to have got yours within a couple of days. Unfortunately it's impossible to call/email them as there is no response on the other end. Is there a way of knowing when my passport would be delivered or if there is an issue? I live and work in Wales, so I can't just up and go to the embassy. I would need to book annual leave (again), arrange travel to London etc all of which is such a hassle. What would you suggest?

You don’t have to apply for a new passport. You will be given a Biometrics Residence Permit when you come to the UK which will last for the 3 years of your contact. This will serve as your visa. Your passport should be renewed around 6months to expiry. I hope this helps.

You should receive your tracking ID with your special delivery envelope. You can use this ID to search in Royal Mail.
