Phonsy the Canadian GOAT
Phonzie can be goat vs Messi! Epic matchup! I want to see it happen
Trinidad use be one of the top six teams in this region but sadly not anymore but I am hoping for a up set
Canada playing MEN's basketball at the PARIS 2024 Olympics for the FIRST time since SYNDEY 2000 more MASSIVE than Canada playing in Copa America.
Both are.
Who cares which one is more massive? Supporting both teams are not mutually exclusive. Get a grip.
Trinidad and Tobago beats Canada in soccer but Canada responds by beating Trinidad and Tobago in basketball.
Doubt it.
@@red3here Canada has more superstar players playing basketball than Trinidad and Tobago does and need I mention Canada men's basketball team is playing in the Paris 2024 Olympics this summer.
Canada's basketball better than Soccer Canada.
Not really.
@@red3here depends on if you’re looking relative to the rest of the world tbf. Canada Basketball is 7th compared to the national men’s soccer team at 50, but it’s worth noting that soccer is much more widely played with high level leagues across the world, whereas all the talent in basketball tends to pool in the NBA, and to a MUCH lesser extent euroleague.
We also don’t really have a transcendent basketball superstar the way we do with Alphonso Davies in soccer. He’s a top 3 player at his postion, one of the most exciting to watch, and is more widely known abroad than he is here.
Basketball better than soccer/football.
I dunno about that.
@@red3here When the Raptors won the 2019 NBA Finals Canadians nationwide celebrated their historic achievement proving that basketball is more popular in Canada than soccer/football is.
@@arthurau9231 that’s because the NBA has a much higher profile in Canada than the MLS does. When TFC were dominating, the league was largely a retirement home.
Raptors were the first Canadian championship since the 93 jays, of course people went crazy. While the raps are the second most popular team in the gta (and arguably more popular than the leafs among younger fans), a lot of that national interest tailed off once the team went into their current rebuild. Canadian soccer clubs generally see decent support in mls regardless of performance, look at how bad TFC were last season.
Who cares no one watches soccer/football in Canada anyways. Baseball, basketball, hockey and golf are all more popular than soccer anyways.
Yea they do soccer is very popular in Canada and no one watches golf.
You commented 5 times. I think you care
@@red3here Canadians nationwide watched Nick Taylor win the RBC Canadian Open last season that ended a 70 year Canadian drought at the national open.
@@red3here Not as popular as hockey or basketball though.
it's literally the most widely played sport..?
