Sorry, I feel it's no a real old photo. (3:31) At this point you can see a pretty defined eye under the shiny texture.
Pretty sure he buried the eye and mouth details in the photo before starting.

Hi i love to watch and learn but really need more indepth information as its not easy when your dyslexic to follow a video without a step by step commentary. I find the music a bit off putting, sorry.
