Can a bad timing chain tensioner cause noise only after engine warm up?

No. Even after engine comes to operating temperature as well, the noise will be there

@@naveedaka if the noise is coming from engine head, there are multiple reasons for it. It can be tappets (inspect if the bearing is fine), valves (check if there is any side play), timing chain and timing chain tensioner. Among these it can be anything.
