It's her song...she co-wrote it and she has it on one of her albums. The production song is faster and not as soulful sounding but still a great song. This live version has been slowed and sung with a really emotional tone to match the occasion and I'd actually love to have this version as a production record on an album as an alternative version as it's absolutely beautiful.

I have nearly all her music and I'm never disappointed. You need to listen to Anthony Callea sing the prayer on his own from he's saying it in the finale of Australian, not sure which you have to look that up . You will be impressed.
This is a much slower and orchestral version of Perfect. And it’s difficult to say which is the best version of this song. I usually dislike it when vocalists fluctuate between octaves and change songs around…(I find it irritating when Mariah does it). However, Vanessa can do it. I’m an Australian and I am only just latching onto Vanessa. She is astounding. And she is amazing live. I’ve caught her at some of the Red Hot Summer tours in recent years.
That’s funny because they’re both well known for starting a song very soft for the first half and then letting loose after the climax. In fact that’s pretty much their signature and their forte….
