Why did you put the vice on the middle of the table ? I'd favour putting it towards one end to: 1. spread the way and screw wear towards one end - remember, the table has 2 ends but only one middle. 2. Leaves more room for direct mounting to the table without having to remove the vice. Saves setting the vice up every time.
