New adventures await. I have been wanting to do this for a while, any tips are appreciated! Apologies for any confusion with the spine of the rod, I added some text to help clarify what I was doing.

Hey, thanks for this interesting video 😊 I was trying to detecting the spines of rods several times and I always find 2; one is the weaker one and the other one the stronger one. Maybe I got it wrong - you took the weaker one in order to place the guides in that line? Would the other way around make (taking the stronger spine) more sense? Thank‘s a lot 👌🏼👌🏼

Thanks! It makes for longer videos, but I like seeing the whole process so I hoped others would too!

Nice to have you back - Honestly I think your channel has great potential to grow if you really go for it. It's gotta be a lot of work though.

Other than the handle vice you are doing it right.
I would post a picture of my handle vice but can't email me I'll send a pic from there.

I’m not very good building them either but catching a fish on a rod you built is a lot more enjoyable! Any chance you want to do some diy tip up designs? Cheep/expensive for future videos? Or maybe a comparison between them?

Great video! I bought this kit and was a little disappointed when I realized that it didn’t have detailed instructions regarding these particular rods. Just like you stated in your video…one of the first things I realized was that the glass blank was too big for that handle tube 😂 how did you ultimately work around this issue? Thanks

Quality content just like always. I'm on the market for a quality ice rod, any recommendations? I'm currently running tickle sticks but looking for a possible change.

Well we don't have an ice rod sponsor at the moment so I did the only logical thing I could and bought one from every major brand! So I guess I should have a good review for you shortly. I need pick up a couple specifically from Frostbite due to their higher end components like the Recoil guides. I hate crappy ice guides, so those are really nice.

@@JLewisFishing some reviews would be awesome. I don't mind spending money on quality equipment but I don't have a ton to spend trying out several to find the right one. I have come to trust your opinions so any help would be great.
