I lived in Japan for 5 years and loved everyday there... the people, culture and food. I miss all the vending machines. Getting a can of hot or cold coffee anytime I want. But I miss the most is how clean, organized and functional the cities are. Very respectful people.
Hello! Thanks for watching my video! Why are there no vending machines in your town? I love vending machines. There are many unusual vending machines in Japan. I am planning to post a video about vending machines. Please take a look if you like. Thank you for watching! And I am very glad for your comment! ありがとう🥰
@@easygoingsolotravel There are vending machines in America, but nine times out of ten they don't work and/or have broken parts unless you're in a rock establishment. Most times, people don't even let you use them. And, their quality of food is nowhere near the quality of food in Japanese vending machines.
Not true. There are a lot of ninjas and samurais, you have to fight all the time. Also, you have to deal with evil local rulers called shoghiban or something like that. And lets not forget yakisugi mafia everywhere.
Japan is a bucket list travel for me. I've watched multiple walking ambiance videos here, where the photographer goes across several districts in a large city. The atmosphere seems pleasant even when it's crowded...you don't see litter in the streets. Downtowns in Tokyo and elsewhere seem to be carpeted vertically in glowing signs, but yet at least on camera, they appear to be friendly pastels that don't appear to be overpowering and annoying. The net effect I get from these video blogs is that the Japanese put tremendous care into their urban planning, making their cities as livable as they are easy to get around.
Only take 1 egg. Love how the honor system works in Japan. Hate to say it but in USA far too many would take ALL the eggs, stay at the free alcohol until they were terribly drunk and then trash the place. :(
Well i wouldnt be having any as they arent cooked, lol. But if they were I may have 2. But only because I don't eat rice. I can guarantee most don't stick to the 1egg rule. I can tell its a great place & other than an extra egg id be a good guest. The place looks lovely & clean , and all the things to rent is great. I can tell its a very trustworthy & honest place. Im from the UK. Unfortunately this wouldn't last a minute here. They'd be drunk fights, all sorts.

@@yauker I can't stand raw eggs. Even skipping the egg, do you see the other condiments he added. I could definitely live in this alone. I would move there and never leave.
@@danielch6662 I don't know if you've ever tried, but over 80% in simple starch (rice or refined flour) for more than 2 days tend to feel very horrible in my throat. It is totally fine for a meal or two but builds up overtime. Now, you could eat an increasingly large amount of miso and condiment to offset, but that might be a worrying amount of salt intake. The egg would have been great but that doesn't seem to be in the cards for you. Corn or potato starch is a lot better for mono-food, it's just the simple starch that's problematic to me. I've... had experiences, stemming either from opportunity (DD delivered the wrong order to me, of like 30 bagels, I called and they told me to keep it or toss it so...) or laziness (rice is so easy to make, and a bit of pickled veggie and/or soy sauce...). They go from great to oh gawd after about 4 meals for me.
It seems like a perfect place for introverted people like me who like to travel alone and not interact much(japan in general feels perfect for introverted travelers)
Hello! Thanks for your comment! That might be a good idea for introverts! When I stayed there, everyone else staying there was alone. I was alone, enjoying cartoons and videos, drinking, etc.! When you are traveling alone, don't you sometimes want to talk to someone? (人''▽`)ありがとう☆
I want to tell my company that I'm going to Japan to work remotely for a month. I work for an airline company, so this should be EASY to do. Will stay at this capsule hotel and have a memory that will last the rest of my life!

I've generally found Japanese hotels to be outstanding. The traditional inns are expensive, but even the cheaper business hotels have great amenities. I usually travel with my wife, so haven't tried a capsule hotel yet. This one is amazing!
This is amazing I am blown away. How can they have such large, nice, amazingly priced facilities with so many extras?! This is shocking. Legit shocking! This is luxury living on a budget! Wow! Definitely on my list

I could live here too! The peaceful and serene atmosphere is quite wonderful! The quiet, cleanliness and respect everyone seems to have for one another 🌻 Seems like such a different experience from what I am used to in the United States- Thank you so much for bringing us along on this lovely tour! Best wishes 😁
This hotel was peaceful and calm. I am replying from a remote island where I am traveling alone and the remote island where I am staying was more peaceful and calm. Motorcycles on this island are kept unlocked. I heard that it is because no one steals them. We will upload a video of the peaceful island soon if you would like to see it. ありがとう
That looks like a cool place! Gosh, I’d say I’d love for there to be some here in the US but it would all be trashed, stolen and exploited within 2 days. Don’t even get me started on the free booze! Thank you for sharing all this with us.
Yeah there'd be dodge chargers outside selling fentanyl and tricks tryin to sell they azz. 1 egg policy would make people angry instead of being grateful and probably trash the place. At $40 a night the place would turn to dirt in a month and go outta business because they'd need to pay security so the booze wasn't stolen. They'd probably have robbers in the shower area jacking your stuff just for kicks. Only in respectful cultures could a place like this operate efficiently. In the USA most good things get ruined by ungrateful selfish people who never think of how their actions effect others. Impulse control and self awareness are not in abundance in America any longer.
Very astute observation Libby. If Americans went to japan and stayed here they'd trash it, and if anyone tried this in LA or NY it would be filthy in a week. And they would find stuff to argue and fight about.
I lived in Japan for 3 years and I found nearly everything to be rather expensive. At the time the conversion rate was about 80-90 yen to $1 USD. This capsule hotel seems like such a great deal with all of the amenities it offers!
@@ImperialPimp But I always heard it cost $5-10 USA dollars for a single apple. If looking for a perfect apple it's around 10 grand. I'd go nuts if I wasn't allowed to smoke in these hotels. I assume their cigarettes are rice paper? My mom brought me home a free carton of Marlboro lights from China... Tour bus gave them to her for free... It was rice paper! And way better than American and Mexican paper
@@shac9131 A single apple (if it's from Japan) can cost $5 easily. But cheaper apples are available! That's what Japan gives you - choice. Apples can run up to $100 a small box if you want them. And the flavor of these apples ?! UNBELIEVABLE. They are simply the best apples in the world. It breaks down like this : my rent is $250 a month, living 10 mins walk from a train station that takes me to the world's biggest and most fascinating City (Tokyo) for $3.95. Groceries are over all 15 - 20% cheaper than the equivalent in the States. A very satisfying meal at an average restaurant is $9 (including drinks an no tip, tipping culture doesn't exist). Im a smoker, so the $4.75 pack of American Spirit cigarettes is very welcome. A huge traditional wooden family house in the countryside (a fixer-upper) can be found for about $27,000 - $50,000. Unreal. Add on top of that NO street crime, people returning your wallet full of cash when you drop it, the most beautiful countryside you can imagine, and some of the world's most beautiful woman (in my eyes) - why would I EVER return to the States ?! No thank you !
While on a cultural exchange in Japan, my students and our hosts stayed in a traditional inn in Kyoto. The week before I threw my back out sleeping on tatami. When I entered my room there were five mattresses (shikibuton) piled on top of one another topped with a comforter (kakebuton). Ando sensei said it was a “Shogun bed!”
This is the first capsule hotel that offers so much freebies..😚 Comfortable and clean. Thank you for uploading this video. Look forward for your next video 😊.

It would be cheaper to live in a hotel than to live at home because of the food, baths, and alcohol,... I think some people live in this hotel, so if I commute to work from here, I might be able to spend less... Thanks again for your comment! I'm so glad you commented!

@@easygoingsolotravel Yes! I worked at Kawaba Ski in Gunma ken. We traveled on our days off. I loved taking the trains and walking around Tokyo. Visited many sites. Made some great friends. I bet a lot has changed and someday would love to return - so different from where I live (small town - 5000 people). I will watch more of your videos :) They help me relax!
You lived in Gunma Prefecture! Were you an instructor at a ski resort? I have never been to Gunma Prefecture and would like to visit one day. And the Japanese also say that Gunma Prefecture is the most rural in Japan (laughs). Winter's my favourite season because it's when the food's good! I hope to visit Gunma one day for one of my videos! I've decided that's where I want to go!
@@easygoingsolotravel Yes :) I do remember Numata (closest town to the ski resort) was know for it's apples and yogurt drink. It was a work abroad program so we rotated through different jobs at the resort. I worked in a curry buffet restaurant (yum!), a wood fired pizza restaurant, a sandwich shop and also as a lift operator. I was a snowboarder at the time but it wasn't allowed at our resort so I switched back to skiing but wasn't an instructor. Maebashi and Takaski were nice cities to visit. Also skied at Katashina and Naeba. Visited Nagano (year before Olympics - but the souvenirs were already out). Tokyo Disney was fun and the Tsukiji fish market. I have memories of Shibuya, Shinjuku, Kamakura, Hiroshima, Bjork concert, many temples, onsens, Fujiya Hotel in Hakone and year end trip to Ishigaki Jima :)❤️ 🇯🇵

Really interesting I'm from Australia love the trust system they have in this hotel. Looks like a experience Japanese people are so kind and well mannered.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful experience! I live in Los Angeles and I truly enjoy seeing our cultural differences, plus your video is so peaceful, wholesome, and down to earth. I wish we had places like this to accommodate our visitors but the residents here would be too selfish and inconsiderate of other people. The courtesy, kindness, and hospitality is something I genuinely love about your culture. I am learning the language now so I can come and visit one day! Much love from CA ❤️

Well done Japan! And thank you for bringing great content like this! Looking forward to see more Capsule hotel videos...
This, I would love something like this but sadly in the US, people would just trash it. We just dont have the same level of respect for others that some societies do.
Hello! Thanks for your comment! I would love to live in this hotel, I would love to live here too. It seems like a cheaper way to live than the house I live in now.
While the price might be on the higher end for a capsule hotel, I’d say you get good value for your money with everything that’s included/available for free when staying there. Also really good deal for people staying longer
Thanks for your comment! It's expensive for a capsule hotel. But with free meals and drinks, it's cheap for a long stay. It would be very inexpensive to live in this hotel. Glad you watched my video! ありがとう!
@@easygoingsolotravel Yeah, you might have a small space in a capsule hotel, but with everything included in this one it would really be a viable option for people instead of a regular hotel room that can cost the same or more and where less is included in the fee. The one thing you miss out on in a capsule hotel would be private space and more privacy but I don’t think that would be much of an issue for most people since Japanese people are very respectful. If I visit Japan sometime I’d likely stay in capsule hotels a lot of the time and be fine with it, but I’d not feel safe doing the same here in Europe and especially not if visiting USA again, and I have stayed in hostels here in Sweden, sharing toon with 5 others and while it was fine, I was also lucky to have good roommates during the stay
Capsule hotels are small... I like those small beds because they are fun and different from the beds I usually sleep in. There is no privacy, but the people using the room are very well mannered, so it is a very comfortable place to stay. I believe that it is safe to stay in capsule hotels in Japan, no matter where you stay. Even if you forget something, they will take you home and nothing is stolen. If you have a chance, please come to Japan and enjoy capsule hotels. ありがとう!
Surprisingly everything was extremely affordable. I had heard Japan cost much more than say the US but these prices are way more affordable, especially considering how much you get, than a large US city. Thanks for the knowledge. Japan is now at the top of my must see list.

This idea wouldn't work in my country, a lot of people would take advantage of things, like the alcohol, they'd simply take too much, also the free thongs like soap and towels, they would keep them. Such a shame I'm glad Japan has restraint and can do this. I must come to your country one day. Thanks I will subscribe too 😊
Same...I live in Canada. The new people here that we got would steal everything and trash it. We cant even have public washrooms here because they steal the plumbing.

Such a concept could not function anywhere in the world except Japan. I have never visited Japan but all the Japanese people I've met were the friendliest and most courteous people you can imagine.
I like the brown outfits everyone is wearing at 11:00. Kind of reminds me of monks in a monastery; neat vibe. The one amenity I would love but it doesn't seem to have is a swimming pool. And no a hot tub obviously does not count. A sauna would be cool too, but I like them mostly just to dry off.

Amazing! I used to use the capsule hotel behind Shibuya station 20 years ago and it was $35/night.
The fact that free food is included makes it a very good value. One of my favorite things is how clean everything is.
"all you can eat"
"these are limited to 1 egg per person"
Lol.
Great if you can live on rice and 1 egg per meal
Wasn’t the free food just white rice with a few pickles etc though? Free food in Europe means a buffet featuring many dishes and a full salad bar
Food? It's only rice with one egg... There's no value.

Yeah there'd be dodge chargers outside selling fentanyl and tricks tryin to sell they azz. 1 egg policy would make people angry instead of being grateful and probably trash the place.

Pretty amazing 🤩 I do understand about being conservative when taking food and drinks etc but it’s true there are some Guys (especially guys) 🤔 especially young adult guys! from the USA that would take advantage and take way too much of food and drink etc. Those types are jerks 🤨and not representing the rest of us! 🤷🏼♀️🫣
Hello!!! Sorry it took me so long to get back to you!!!
There are people in Japan who take a lot of food, too.
But no one takes so much food as to leave it behind.
Thanks for your comment!

I very much enjoyed watching your video. Thank you for taking the time to make and post it.
Such a concept could not function anywhere in the world except Japan. I have never visited Japan but all the Japanese people I've met were the friendliest and most courteous people you can imagine.
It works in Sweden
vondahe, you're absolutely right, only in Japan!
Thank you for watching my video!
And thanks for taking the time to write a comment on my
The brown clothes in the video are called yukata, which are always available as room clothes in Japanese hotels.
The structure is similar to a bathrobe.
If you ever travel to Japan, try wearing a yukata.
ありがとう!(^^)!
This is so fascinating. Love it.👍 Sadly, I think this concept will only work in Japan. If done anywhere else, all those freebie stuff won't last long as most guest would have taken them, or taken more than their allocated share.
This was a great experience just watching. It had me wishing I could speak Japanese so I could enjoy this experience live in living color!!!
Thank you, very interesting to see this place. I enjoyed this video.
Thanks for your comment!

If you ever travel to Japan, capsule hotels are interesting, but I would recommend a regular hotel!
You should also visit the castle later on.

5:50. The flashing comes from the power source and is normal. It cycles a 3 phase power sine wave at 50-60 Hz. So, the power is on and off but it happens so fast, the human eye does not notice it.
That was such a nice trip…I couldn’t stop watching 🇺🇸🌴

I have never left Japan, but it is a nice place.
I would really love to visit Japan! 💕I’m American, and would not take more than offered, get drunk, or trash the place. Such offensive comments.👎🏻

That is legitimately impressive. You could live there for that cost.
Hello, thank you for watching my video.
It's very tempting to live here at this price.
The only problem is that the beds are so small,...
However, this hotel is better equipped and more comfortable than my home.

Thank u for sharing this. Think so would very much enjoy staying there. Maybe for 2 weeks!
Hi, thanks for watching my video!
I'm sure you'll be tired of staying in this hotel for a long time, although the rates are low!
Wow. That was a crazy cool place, right? That made me actually almost comfortable sleeping in a tiny closed space... I wished we'd look out the window? But yeah, the food! and drinks! And really the whole experience seemed quite like a "destination hotel' experience kinda... Thanks so much, that was Fun!
Holy smokes!!! It's WAAAAAAAAY way much cheaper than my monthly apartment rent!!!
Hello! Thanks for watching my video!
I too live in a more expensive apartment now,...
But I'm sure you must be tired to keep living here!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a comment!

Lovely concept. So refreshing to see such innovation. Here in the US this wouldn't last a month.
It's really nice to see everything as We would experienced it. Thank you !
I lways find it very interesting how other parts of the world live and do things and thsese capsual hotels always have me interested tonsee what they offer besides just a place to sleep
Hello! Thanks for watching my video!
If you watched this video of mine because you were curious about life in other parts of the world, you might be a little biased,...
This capsule hotel is a bit different in Japan.
I make videos about unusual areas and hotels in Japan.
I hope you'll watch my other videos if you're curious about unusual places in Japan!

this should be replicated on many countries a big help to reduce traffic in big cities so people from far flung areas dont have to travel back and forth from work to home in just a small amount of money you can save time thats why i love japan very advance in terms of technology and comfort living
Hello! Thanks for watching my video!
It would be a great hotel to have near your workplace.
I've stayed at this hotel and I'd enjoy it for one night, but I'd be lonely and lonely if I stayed there for 30 days.
ありがとう(*´ω`*)
im glad you had a good time and used all they had to offer.
