Pero los escasos discos que de él llegaron a editarse por acá, recordamos con singular afecto (y conservamos el single de fines de los '60) de su versión de "Isla en el sol" uno de los últimos hits de Harry Belafonte, leit motiv del filme del mismo nombre, que protagonizó a fines del '57, una historia levemente obvia y trivial, pero con el marco majestuoso de una bella isla caribeña y es de la época en que los discos populares contenían un tanto de ritmo, otro de melodía y unos versos amables (que no serían los de Emerson) pero que llegaban a nuestras almas, entonces juveniles, y hasta nos enternecían, más si estábamos en compañía de alguno de los efímeros (pero jamás olvidados) romances que la edad imponía...
