Thank you for providing this RUclips page to support future social workers. I reviewed question #3 over again, and thought to myself, the reality response, while in the field is different from the actual answer. I also thought that question #3 could have provided more detail regarding an understanding of UNSAFE. For instance, if you observe, electric wiring, cutlery, or substances around the children, you will have to make an immediate decision regarding this situation.

#3 is a great question that tests real world competency. #1 is poorly worded and essentially asks you to select which element of congruence constitutes congruence the most (which is a ridiculous proposition that doesn’t test competency). And #2 utilizes the word “address” in an ambiguous way that is intended to mean “talk about” but could easily be interpreted to mean “intervene”.

Completely agree! Especially re Q1, where D aligns more accurately with the baseline definition of congruence in a therapy setting.

These are not reasoning questions at all.. You have to call CPS on #3. You are a mandated reporter and you dont need a supervisors opinion on it. The more you wait, the more you put the child in danger. That is an unethical "correct answer." You have a duty to keep the public safe and you have to make the report. That "correct answer" goes against the code of ethics.

They are the CPS workers. They work for the CHILD WELFARE AGENCY.
