No not really. I played gang wars in Lost and damned six months ago where after 40 gang wars there are at least 30 enemies at once all of which have 10 times the normal health so headshots are absolutely necessary and everyone uses M4, AK-47, MP5, both pump and semiautomatic shotgun and occasionally grenades that can really fuck you up if you don't hear them landing near you. When you take cover on the corner of the building somewhere in the alley enemies will stay back. But if you move away few inches from the corner they'll start pouring in because they think you ran away. Then I usually get some easy headshots

Driving in GTA 4 at least requires some sense of when to break and not going 30mph into 90 degree one way street. Weapons in Mafia 2 are extremely inaccurate even at medium range because Vito doesn't want to control the recoil (remember he was a soldier in WW2 for 2 years). City is boring and you can't do much except collect posters that don't even give you anything except 1 achievement. At least cars are nice. ONCE YOU COMPLETE THE STORY THERE'S N O T H I N G TO DO
i've seen gta 4 police roll and slide into cover like mf'ing comando ops, but the funniest shit is when they slide into cover but u shoot them so they ragdoll and break their back 😂
Nah according to wiki they are well funded even over funded and tbh I fought them in GTA online and they are tougher then anything I experienced but Tatics are kinda just 1 team or multiple shooting angles
Man the love and care that went into GTA 4/IV to make the world as realistic and alive as they could at the time compared to GTA 5/V still amazes me. Hell it still holds up today. Yeah the GTA 4/IV A.I. can be a little wonky sometimes (most games A.I. can be wonky even the greats like this) but compared to GTA 5/V they are literal gods. They actually use cover effectively, suppress, flank, stay low when moving, body armor actually makes a difference, will assist eachother, use throwables albeit clumsy, follow procedures to simulate encounters with the player & NPCs rather than always just immediately go to shooting, and so much more. I also like that the GTA 4/IV Police didn't just show up non stop. It took each additional Police Car/APC to arrive to the scene compared to GTA 5/V where they spawn so much and so fast that they essentially just aim to overwhelm you/NPCs with little regard for tactics or there own lives. Granted of course the longer you engage eventually it gets a little crowded but by that time without cheats or playing in free roam online with help from other players you're dead and/or out of ammo. But at the end of the day for me GTA 4/IV is peak GTA 👌🏽. Thanks for posting these videos. A.I. to A.I. interaction always fascinates me. I look forward to the continued advancement of it within reason of course. I also love seeing all the work put into the various animations and VA work of the NPCs.
Kinda want to go and reinstall GTA 4 again and just have some nostalgia for the early 2000s and also to start some chaos in the streets of liberty city
If you planning to make another video like this, please make the camera put in same place long and not moving much. This video is good entertainment though.

i think it’s because swat in gta iv are NOOSE tactical units and in gta v they are LSPD swat because in a few missions the protagonist talk about the LSPD tactical units and the LSPD swat doesn’t have any indication of it being NOOSE

The GTA V vs GTA IV realism debate comes up a lot and GTA IV wins hands down, but the thing to remember is that 4 is supposed to be a grittier more realistic game and 5 is supposed to be comedic and over the top absurd fun.
