The commentating situation was really weird, we didn't really feel like we could talk that much because we were right behind them and they could hear pretty much everything we said, its very distracting to the player when the commentators are that close. We kept most of what we said pretty short and because of that it wasn't the greatest.
How do they do some of those things? Like that part where he wrong warped up to the top of the map was awesome! Or when they jump off and cancel the players making it back to the ledge. I am confuse x.x Either way Cosmo is beast!

Dont get mad at Mundungu for losing btw, Cosmo is a great player, and while it diddnt really look like it, Mund's fox is pretty sound, he has a decent grasp of tech skill, but his main issue was a few tech mistakes he made, cosmo would punish them better, whereas Mundungu wouldnt properly punish Zelda's high lag moves as much as he definitely could have.
Some of the best in the world didn't even make it out of pools in EVO. Scar's the first that comes to mind, but go look at all the people who placed above him and the players he's above, most of the names are recognizable and are really good smashers.
the ledge blocking is a legitimate part of the game, since only one person can be grabbing a ledge at once, but the wrong warp is a glitch that....I have no idea about >.

The commentary is also pretty sub-par. There needs to be more on character matchup, and on how the players read and why. Not many technical terms, and the commentary itself is pretty flat. I know these guys aren't Prog or D1, but it needs to be stepped up.

This game is VERY technical, and by that i mean before you could even begin to play competitively, you must master many techniques and tricks to the game. Wave dashing, L canceling, grab combos, short hops,.. the list goes on and on.. all these things were a chore to practice, and if you didn't master them all.. you didn't stand a chance.

I'm gonna be honest. Mundungu's DI sucks. That, and he could've gone back to Yoshi's if he wanted, which actually might have been better game 3. If he'd played the spacing correctly, he probably wouldn't have lost, not to mention his bad DI. I don't main Fox, but seeing Mundungu gives me at least 2 types of cancer. Not lasering AT ALL doesn't help against Zelda. Mundungu takes the thing that makes Fox awesome and throws it in the garbage. When you're not moving as Fox, you shoot lasers. When you're not shooting, you dash dance and wait, wait, wait. Mundungu doesn't have a horrid Fox, but it's pretty bad.

I never said anything about physical appearance. I'm saying, with the right strategy then any character can be a "high-tier" character or a champion in a tournament. If somebody sucks at smash, then someone like Captain Falcon can still be a bad character to play as, but if someone practices as Snake every time they play Smash then they can utilize what may be known as a "low-tier" character to win against what people would think of as a "high-tier" character. By physical capabilities I mean what they physically are capable of- not what they look like. Mostly, I was referencing the first battle between Mundungu and Cosmo. The commentator was just going on and on about what was clear to see on the screen. Also, I never generalized all smash commentators, I'm speaking about this one in particular.

Low tier characters are low tiers because they simply don't have the same amount of tools as other characters. Peach is so silly character. A tiny bit of luck can turn your game upside down. Plucking a Bob-omb, Gaddish or Dot-eyes Turnip in the middle of a combo spells GG for your opponent.

You realize that you're trying to defend a player who didn't place in the money. You are pretty much ignoring the massive skill gap the players from 1-20 have over everyone else. Besides the flukes -- a large majority of the players below #30 are not even smashers current with the 2013 Metagame. They mostly wanted to join the tournament for the sake of it being in EVO.
I don't think it's fun to watch people play smash bros. like this. I know it's top tier strategy but I just don't enjoy watching it. It's a lot more amusing to watch people play traditionally rather than spamming short jumps and extremely finite mechanics that almost certainly only exist as bug fixes for other issues. When they have to ban stages because people abuse a glitch with fox's deflector, something is messed up. It's fun for other games, but when it comes to competition it feels more like muscle memory twitch impulse than actual strategy. (I'm looking at you, chain grab)
