  • Making Homemade Chili Oil doesn't get any easier. Just follow these easy steps and you'll have your own bottled Chili Oil in no time, flat.
    Heat Oil to 180 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately 5 minutes, then kill the heat and let it rest 2 to 3 hours before straining. Other ingredients can be added, if you want more flavor than just the heat. Garlic and Ginger are great examples but the possibilities are endless.
    Just make sure you keep a lid on the cooking pot, or cook the chili's outside because it could irritate your skin and eyes as the aroma hits the air. This is how it's done in Restaurants around the world. Read more and get the exact ingredients, to your favorite recipes, on my website: poormansgourmetkitchen.com/ho...

    Exactly what I was looking for. Just a chili flavored oil. I also liked that you used the sriracha bottle for storage too. Much easier to squirt in a pan than trying to pour from a jar and making a mess. Perfect recipe, thanks for sharing. You have some great recipes.👍🏼

      +kinn grimm I recycle bottles all the time.

      I "try"(not always succesfully *sigh*) not to buy plastic bottles or any plastic casings, as it gives up certain stuff which makes you sick. You have to be extra carefull with hot cooked stuff when you fill it into plastic containers as then the plastic is more likely to react and give up chemicals into your food. Always let it chill first!
      The eyeopening part of your tip was with the sauce bottles as i imagined they are already specially made for sauce :) , you can squeeze them and they have these special caps.

      Ah! Don't be fooled. Just because this isn't red doesn't mean anything. This is actually how P.F. Chang's makes there Chili Oil and and there is definitely plenty of heat.

    • @PMGK
      @PMGK  7 лет назад +6

      Crush your chili pods instead and cook it for only a few minutes instead and remove it from the heat completely. When the oil cools, then strain. You can also add ginger, garlic and herbs to the mix when you cook it if you're wanting a little additional flavor.
