Bill Shields was so humble, kind, funny, & amazingly talented! He travelled everywhere to give us good & fun stories- My deep sympathy to his wife, 2 sons, family, & his WBZ family- 🙏🏻❤

A touching tribute to a well-known on-the-air personality at BZ. It would be great if you did a tribute like this for all the lifelong employees when they pass away. Camera operators, admin, producers, engineers. My uncle was the receptionist at BZ on Soldiers Field Rd for about 40 years (Bill W.). Every person at the company walked by him twice a day. When he passed in 2018, we saw a couple folks from BZ at the wake. The on-air folks must have been busy.
Familiar faces. I have watched WBZ for many years and watched people come and go. Bill was a wonderful constant whose reporting was always so very interesting and often humorous. Thank you for being you Bill for sharing yourself with us all those years. Bless You.
