The main PowerBasic site is down but the Forum Site is still going. (forum.powerbasic.com/) . We are waiting to hear back from the new owners of the company as to what their plans are.
PB was great but they charged me for 175 $ on May 2023 and now I can't access to my account anymore since they closed. That means that I have all the serial numbers but I don't have the PB windows, console compiler anymore and I don't have the form editor either. I can't download them again since they closed the website. I can understand that they don't want to support PB but can't understand why they don't let the customers access their products. That makes me crazy (and angry).
Yes it's frustrating, I'm hoping that we get some clarify soon from the new company as to their plans for PowerBasic. Have you posted on the Forum site? (forum.powerbasic.com/)
Yes it is very frustrating for all of us. PowerBasic is at the moment in limbo as the company that owns it has been taken over and the main web site, where you could purchase and download the product from is under maintenance. However the forums are still active (forum.powerbasic.com/) if you want to post a message there. There's no guarantee that someone from PowerBasic will see your message as the forum is generally for users, but you never know.
Designing custom tools for my specific needs is exactly why I use PowerBASIC. It's fast and powerful.
PowerBASIC was once described as the Consultants secret weapon. The secret is now out but it still has a place in many fields.
Yes I agree PB is fast and still reasonably simple to code for sequential programs
Indeed it is
I've been making a great living using power basic for at least 20 years
It's an excellent development environment.
But the powerbasic web site is no longer active?
