350 books??!! I read books almost everyday and read 30 books last year. Working full time and having balance in my life, I don’t see how I can increase it to over 100 books a year!

After 6 months of this valuable advice I got my first promotion.
I’ve completed 33 books in 7 months just by listening in my car and reading before bedtime. Songs, tv shows, news and sport games suddenly became not interested to my mind. Not to mention social media crap and video games are the parasite for your time.
Most modern audiobooks, especially those on economics, etc, tend to run between 5 and 25 or more hours per book. Something like New York Times MBA in a box runs 13.5 hours. That's a lot of material to DIGEST while driving your car. What about family time? Has your wife left you yet? Have your kids turned to drugs yet? Is your current employer pissed because you don't have enough energy to do your job properly? And how's your health? Think about it.
Who am I? Just a guy who spent 10 long expensive years in the New Age movement back in the late 70s and early 80s witnessing any number of fakes selling their version of success in a box. Caveat Emptor is the best advice anybody can get about paying the self help gurus.

I guarantee those 300 nitwits who put thumbs down are probably flipping burgers in a fast food restaurant. I listened to Brian Tracy 35 years ago, when I was more or less broke, I built a business, own 2 houses and 5 rentals properties and spend 4 months a year in the south Pacific away from snow and cold. I learned a lot from Brian, the only thing I wish was when I became more successful, I quit listening to tapes. I'm now back listening daily to every day guys like Brian Tracy, Bob Proctor, Jim Rohn, etc. Don't waste your time on watching pro sports, netflix or the news. You need to reprogram your mind with good information, good goals .
Good principles for success. I don't get the math, though, as to how 26% improvement for 10 years = 1004%. Last time I checked, 26% x 10 = 260%, which is still pretty good.

I’ve been watching this man for 10 years and he totally revolutionised my life.
From down and out, to relatively successful, but the key lessons I learned, are to never quit, and consistent improvement. So i’m not done yet!
It’s funny, i’ve never seen this video or heard of the formula, but his message is consistent in his work.

i think he's totally right with one note I might add, His method is like a GIC or secure term deposit with long term compounds. I think while you're young, you can choose to take it wild like a stock n figure out what works best for you, then take the safe secure route with momentum...at least you'll be starting ahead and then you can focus on incremental increases...on that note, DO NOT VEER all over the map in search for your happiness and you'll never find it.

I would say the goal is living a comfortable, secure, respectable life. But it also requires that we know what we want, if we want...then it is the formula that will help us get there..it's about motive and decision. Then the satisfaction of having achieved...having left the WHERE I WAS to I GOT WHERE I REALLY WANTED to go...That makes sense doesnt it?

I cant even achieve to make $1000. I struggle living from week to week.
After year & years of thinking positively, dreaming, striving to work hard at your goals, you see a little glimmer of hope that your dream is on its way, then BANG! a major negative event happens in your life (theres no stopping fate), or somebody sabotages your life & throws a spanner in the works & totally fucks all your hard work which then snowballs, your in so much shock, it knocks you back emotionally aswel.
You find yourself laying on your back in a hole, to then finally realise that your back where you started years before.
And life seems to get worse & you get older.
You have the freedom to choose in what you are going to focus your time and effort, and do it in such a good way, improving a little bit every day, that you will be earning a good amount of money doing what you love.
Patience, perseverance and time, never giving up, is what it takes.
That's my point. You'ld have to be the boss for it to fully work. Anyway, we'll never end this.If you learn how to "sell" you'll "sell" everything to anyone. All for your own benefits.

Productivity is not just for your employer. It is for yourself. For your life. For getting things done before and after work. Increasing efficiency. Efficiency in how you do things, talk to people, how fast you learn, how fast you knock important things off your to do list to place more challenging and rewarding tasks on your to do list. Step #2 of the 1000% formula was to read every day. Read about managing. Read about the hotel business. Read about business in general. Read about finances and investing. Same goes for Step# 4 audio programs in your car. Listen to the same topics you are reading about.

Doesn't help with a dead end job. I read and listened to books for years and it never got me anywhere. In fact, it only made college more difficult because I was writing complex papers whilst others were BS'ing off of cliff notes hungover before class.
He implores us to simply attempt 1/10th of 1%, because if he told us we'd have to improve 1000% in order to reach our goals, we'd never attempt it. Most STILL won't attempt the 1/10th of 1%. Sadly, they've preprogrammed themselves to "believe" there's no possible way they could achieve such success and, most are not willing to do the work.
Jim Rohn said it best, "You must be willing to work harder on yourself, than you do on your job." If you do, your desired success will surely follow...
Positive thoughts or ideas are not enough.They should be followed by regular and intelligent actions. And if you top that with a strong character and surround yourself with people sharing the same philosophy you will witness an abundance in your live.
1. Read 1 hour in your field of mastery.
2. List priorities of each day.
3. Choose the highest priority
= 100% increase in productivity. And that's just the beginning of this remarkable talk.

No, Brian Tracy means to include reading as an important activity during the golden hour. In one video or blog, Brian also said we should go for a walk after waking up. Even before we think about doing it. Of course before you read a book, you have to condition your mind and spirit first. :)

So if you work at McD, look and KEEP looking for a better way to make money and to move forward with your life. If you get the right mindset and if you're not stupid, you'll eventually make progress. If you fuck up and stay at McD, then you don't have anyone to blame, but yourself. Learn about self-discipline, time-management, self-confidence etc. and stick with it, that shit changed my life.
This is gold and very inspirational. I have been struggling somewhat in my business (having done very well in the corporate world) and am open to ways of improving. I get paid only a little bit each month on each deal so need a large volume of clients in order to make ends meet. Thanks, Brian!

Is this like the 10,000 hour rule? Which is you have to practice something for 10,000 hours (approximately 10 years) to become an expert at it. But that doesn't talk about improvement, just practicing (which seems incorrect IMO).

Great ideas. If you get up 1 our earlier and think of 5 good ideas you will have 35 a week and 175 a year. 1 good idea can be enough to get you rich.
