I grew up in California as a poor Hispanic and proudly voted for the first time for Obama's second term. I was completely convinced that Republicans were the ultimate evil. Then I got into driving a truck, got to see the rest of the country and started having a lot of people poke a lot of very big holes in my arguments. It also did not help my preconceived notions that everywhere I went in the country where I encountered white people they were always friendly and welcoming. It just completely threw me off, I had expected them to be crazy racist and blah blah blah but none of that seemed to be the case. All of my ideas on how things work to started falling apart the more I examined them. In 2016 I was 100% convinced that Hillary had it in the bag, no way the Trump could ever win. And then to my surprise as I was parked outside of a customer in Queen Creek Arizona I hear the news that Donald Trump is the winner. I actually started laughing at how crazy it was that this had happened. I called my parents and I laughed at them a little bit because of how convinced they were also that Hillary was going to win. And then I really started paying attention to what was going on and I could not help and find lie after lie after lie and it was coming from democrats. And then as I changed my own political views publicly I saw them turn on me. I was no longer being a good hispanic, no longer being a good mexican. I was a traitor to my people and the enemy because I wasn't acting how they thought I should be acting. And here I am thinking, so I am being told that I have to act and think a certain way because of the color of my skin or the nation of my families origin. Democrats are telling me this. Yet all the conservative, libertarian and Republican people I mean seem to be quite welcoming and never bring up my race. But somehow they are the racist ones?

People call Trump a racist, I always say, "Give me an example. What did he do/say?" Nobody ever gave me one example. They just parrot what they heard. If Trump is such a racist, it should be extremely easy to prove, or at least provide evidence for the claim.

They are unable to differentiate between legal and illegal immigrants. My wife is a LEGAL immigrant. She had to go through background checks, medical exams etc. She became a citizen in 1986.

My sister in law is a legal immigrant from Finland. It took 10 years, miles of red tape and countless dollars to achieve her goal. She's proud to be an American citizen...and she did it the legal way. Her mother on the other hand didn't make it. She died last year. She was in her 80's and passed away soon after a fall. I used to take care of her. She was a nice lady. She didn't speak English and spoke to me in Finnish...which I don't understand at all. I would just nod and smile...but we still understood each other. It really messed me up hearing of her passing.

it's not just that. Our government is trying to take us in a whole other direction that's more communist than Constitutional. They hate black Americans who know this too. At one time people could go draw out money from their banking account without questions becauseit was theirs. Now, people are being questioned about why they're taking out money from their own accounts. I know a couple of people who withdrew for their vacation just to have extra cash and they went through questioning for days. Thats not the America I used to know. This is only one example of how things are changing and no one is talking about it. Even the Republicans are silent.

My grandfather was uber-conservative, Greatest Generation, grew up in the Depression, and he was very impatient. He made nasty comments about anyone who he considered lazy, incompetent, or not self-desciplined. If a Black family moved into the neighborhood, he might grumble about it, but he wouldn't say anything nasty to them. He wouldn't say, "I don't want them here," but he would definitely say, "They'd better pull their weight."

If the current administration believes that money is more powerful, than obviously they're paying people to do what they want. And why are they paying the people. They're paying them because politicians can't use knowledge to convince people to do something smart. If there was a smart politician in office with a good idea they wouldn't have to pay people anything. All they would have to do is tell them about their good idea. The knowledgeable people will see that it's a good idea and just do it. Only people that don't have enough knowledge to see a good thing when it's right in front of them have to be paid to do it. I married an American man after waiting for him to come back from Viet Nam .He flew over to London England 🇬🇧after two tours in that war . we got married .and spent two weeks together , he had to return to his command in the USA🇺🇸 I had to be vetted , could not be a person that had ever committed any crime , I had to be examined ,tested for STD’s every month , I had to swear to except the AMERICAN CULTURE I had to write down my reason for wanting to come to America , I wrote to join my husband ,an American . I also took an oath never to go on government assistance .I never have even applied for assistance , and times were so hard , as we were very poor . I had a 3 year old from a previous marriage , and had another baby , while living in a trailer in a crime infested part of town . I made my little girls clothes ,and my own . I knew nothing about thrift shops , or good will , If I had I would have gladly gone their . I got along well with all races in the trailer park , went to their cook outs,I loved the people , they made me feel very welcome . It had taken me almost 18 months , to join my husband , while being investigated, I often got depressed over it .Finally my paper work came through . So I am very against ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. They all go on assistance , none want to embrace the American culture . I did everything the correct way , so why in the world do those illegals get to jump the line. A lot of people out there think that if someone like me wants to stop illegal immigration then I must be racist when in fact, it’s absolutely the opposite!! I grew up in a military family so I’m predisposed to being a strong supporter of our great country and I don’t care what the color of your skin is or if your native language is something other than American English. If someone wants to immigrate to the USA and they actually do it legally then they are more than welcome. But, like I said, I’m extremely patriotic and proud, and I solidly believe in our laws and constitution. In my opinion anyone who comes here illegally, for whatever reason, they are breaking our laws before they are even on our soil. I personally don’t want anyone like that taking advantage of our system and profiting from it! That’s also why I’ve always been a staunch Republican. I don’t have a problem with the government helping out any American citizen with aid of whatever kind but those people have American citizenship status and have more than likely paid their taxes just as I have. Our tax money is used in part for those programs and anyone coming into the country illegally are trying to get a piece of that, which they don’t deserve! I’m so glad there are so many people finally opening up, finally deciding to do their own research and choose for themselves instead of worshiping one side of the media and never being open to hearing the opposing side. When I first heard “Trump is a racist”, I knew it was BS. I grew up in the 90’s.. all the hip hop and rap artists out there purposely putting Trump in their songs because he was a symbol of success and someone they looked up to.. it wasn’t until the left started spreading that rumor with no facts to back it up that people started to go against him. Believing the main stream media instead of asking “why” & doing research. The left get scared because they’ve had the black community “in their pocket” for decades and will say and do anything to make the right (no matter who it is) look racist. You make my heart happy. It states the he was arrested but there is NO EVIDENCE he was arrested for anything klan related and since he lived on the street they were protesting, it is said that he was fighting for his neighbors! But of course, we’ll just assume he was part of the KKK that just so happened to be marching down his street in 1927 and EVEN IF that were the case, that was his father, not him! It was a company he just started and there were many many other companies being sued.. it was still a little rough in this country at that time, I won’t deny that, he was never found guilty and never pleaded guilty. Nobody wants to do research anymore. They just hear some crap and decide to believe it without a second thought. You want to know something funny, I didn’t even vote for trump. I'm a black Southerner who loved Reagan, I voted for Clinton, served in the Marines under him and Bush and shook both their hands. I don't fall for the mudslinging politics. I voted for Obama the first time and then Trump twice because I looked at what they were doing , not just what they say. The Dems expect black votes every 4 yrs and forget about us until the next 4 years. Minorities need to wake up and follow the actions not just the words. You should here the story Trump told about when the black colleges went to see him in the White House during their annual trip to ask for money. He gave them the money they asked for. They showed up again the next year, and he asked, ‘you mean you have to come here every year for money?’, the sheepishly told him yes. He put an end to that and funded them in a way that was no longer necessary and to help them sustain their funding. It was a famous college, but my memory is poor and I don’t recall the name of the school.

Did you hear the story about the black homeless squatter in Trump's luxury apartment building. After trump was informed of the squatter, he let her live there for 9 years rent free and made sure she had 3 free meals a day and had flowers sent to her on a regular basis. That's in her own words.

I grew up in California as a poor Hispanic and proudly voted for the first time for Obama's second term. I was completely convinced that Republicans were the ultimate evil. Then I got into driving a truck, got to see the rest of the country and started having a lot of people poke a lot of very big holes in my arguments. It also did not help my preconceived notions that everywhere I went in the country where I encountered white people they were always friendly and welcoming. It just completely threw me off, I had expected them to be crazy racist and blah blah blah but none of that seemed to be the case. All of my ideas on how things work to started falling apart the more I examined them. In 2016 I was 100% convinced that Hillary had it in the bag, no way the Trump could ever win. And then to my surprise as I was parked outside of a customer in Queen Creek Arizona I hear the news that Donald Trump is the winner. I actually started laughing at how crazy it was that this had happened. I called my parents and I laughed at them a little bit because of how convinced they were also that Hillary was going to win. And then I really started paying attention to what was going on and I could not help and find lie after lie after lie and it was coming from democrats. And then as I changed my own political views publicly I saw them turn on me. I was no longer being a good hispanic, no longer being a good mexican. I was a traitor to my people and the enemy because I wasn't acting how they thought I should be acting. And here I am thinking, so I am being told that I have to act and think a certain way because of the color of my skin or the nation of my families origin. Democrats are telling me this. Yet all the conservative, libertarian and Republican people I mean seem to be quite welcoming and never bring up my race. But somehow they are the racist ones?

My sister in law is a legal immigrant from Finland. It took 10 years, miles of red tape and countless dollars to achieve her goal. She's proud to be an American citizen...and she did it the legal way. Her mother on the other hand didn't make it. She died last year. She was in her 80's and passed away soon after a fall. I used to take care of her. She was a nice lady. She didn't speak English and spoke to me in Finnish...which I don't understand at all. I would just nod and smile...but we still understood each other. It really messed me up hearing of her passing.

it's not just that. Our government is trying to take us in a whole other direction that's more communist than Constitutional. I voted for him. That was a no-brainer. I didn't like anybody who was running then he announced and immediately had my vote. I really wish he would have ran now. To be honest I have no idea who's running for the Republican nomination for governor of California. Anybody will be an improvement but you got to get your name out there. I'm a register independent that generally those Republican but this year is about voting A1 Republicans. Vote out the old guard bring in the new. I just wish Kevin McCarthy would have got primaried by an A1 candidate.

I married an American man after waiting for him to come back from Viet Nam .He flew over to London England 🇬🇧after two tours in that war . we got married .and spent two weeks together , he had to return to his command in the USA🇺🇸 I had to be vetted , could not be a person that had ever committed any crime , I had to be examined ,tested for STD’s every month , I had to swear to except the AMERICAN CULTURE I had to write down my reason for wanting to come to America , I wrote to join my husband ,an American . I also took an oath never to go on government assistance .I never have even applied for assistance , and times were so hard , as we were very poor . I had a 3 year old from a previous marriage , and had another baby , while living in a trailer in a crime infested part of town . I made my little girls clothes ,and my own . I knew nothing about thrift shops , or good will , If I had I would have gladly gone their . I got along well with all races in the trailer park , went to their cook outs,I loved the people , they made me feel very welcome . It had taken me almost 18 months , to join my husband , while being investigated, I often got depressed over it .Finally my paper work came through . So I am very against ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. They all go on assistance , none want to embrace the American culture . I did everything the correct way , so why in the world do those illegals get to jump the line. You’re exactly the kind of person I gladly welcome into our country! A lot of people out there think that if someone like me wants to stop illegal immigration then I must be racist when in fact, it’s absolutely the opposite!! I grew up in a military family so I’m predisposed to being a strong supporter of our great country and I don’t care what the color of your skin is or if your native language is something other than American English. If someone wants to immigrate to the USA and they actually do it legally then they are more than welcome. But, like I said, I’m extremely patriotic and proud, and I solidly believe in our laws and constitution. In my opinion anyone who comes here illegally, for whatever reason, they are breaking our laws before they are even on our soil. I personally don’t want anyone like that taking advantage of our system and profiting from it! That’s also why I’ve always been a staunch Republican. I don’t have a problem with the government helping out any American citizen with aid of whatever kind but those people have American citizenship status and have more than likely paid their taxes just as I have. Our tax money is used in part for those programs and anyone coming into the country illegally are trying to get a piece of that, which they don’t deserve! I’m going to stop it there or else I’d be here commenting forever

It was a company he just started and there were many many other companies being sued.. it was still a little rough in this country at that time, I won’t deny that, he was never found guilty and never pleaded guilty. Nobody wants to do research anymore. They just hear some crap and decide to believe it without a second thought. You want to know something funny, I didn’t even vote for trump. So often it’s the perspective that gets skewed for well meaning individuals simply because so many won’t make the effort themselves, yet they’ll happily parrot everything they here, read or are told whether or not it was passed to them from a place of honesty. You should here the story Trump told about when the black colleges went to see him in the White House during their annual trip to ask for money. He gave them the money they asked for. They showed up again the next year, and he asked, ‘you mean you have to come here every year for money?’, the sheepishly told him yes. He put an end to that and funded them in a way that was no longer necessary and to help them sustain their funding. It was a famous college, but my memory is poor and I don’t recall the name of the school.

It works for all black colleges. Donald John trump put a Stop to that junk. Politicians making black colleges panda and beg for money. Who's the racist. D*** sure not Donald John trump.

Did you hear the story about the black homeless squatter in Trump's luxury apartment building. After trump was informed of the squatter, he let her live there for 9 years rent free and made sure she had 3 free meals a day and had flowers sent to her on a regular basis. That's in her own words.
His daughter said when she was young, they'd read the Sunday paper together, and when a sad story came up where someone needed money, Trump would send them money anonymously. Trump has a bigger heart than anyone realizes..

What's important is not what you "feel" about political issues but what you THINK! Your feelings should be be based on what you think and what you think should be based on FACTS. Too many just say "I don't know but I just feel this way. I don't know why I just do." It's childish. Being an adult is about being rational and accountable for one's thoughts and actions.
Democrats operate off of feelings. Feelings create 'victims' that they can rescue...and then make them feel guilty and indebted to them. It's how they exist.
