Still waiting for someone to use minox on one half of the face to show the actual difference.
Why don’t you do it then
Wouldn't be a huge difference, you could put minoxidil on the top of your head and still get beard growth, aswell as full body hair growth. The localisation to the face just improves response time in that area.
Well thanks to you I'm now doing it :D. Made a quick video about it and I've since (01.05.) used it only on my right side of my face.

How was the result?
I'm at week 5 and my beard is so freaking patchy. So far it's gotten a little thicker but it hasn't started growing in the patchy areas yet. I apply only once a day but I've read it doesn't make that much difference if it's applied twice.

No worries, you'll sooner or later get the beard you want. Tbh I think it does make a difference if you apply it twice a day instead of once, but it's only my feeling with no evidence behind it.

@@ps3boss98 I didn't get any notification for some reason but it's been 3 and half months and the hair is definitely thicker and it's starting to grow some thin hairs on places it didn't grow before. I'm nowhere near satisfied yet, but it's been getting better. The guy who posted the video got some nice results in just 3 months, I didn't, so I guess it depends on the person

I‘ve been using minoxidil for 4 months and now I look like you in the beginning 😅 But at my beginning I had 0 beard growth so it’s still good for me. I will use it for a long time haha
Hey man I consider also buying minoxidil, and can you tell me do you have some side effects since you've been using the product ?
@@ShoneSHT Well, my skin is always really dry. But I don’t see it as a big issue since I had acne before and the meds I took back then made my skin much much drier. And dry skin also dries out pimples so it‘s a plus for me.
But if you have normal skin just use some moisturisers and creams and apply them like 20mins after applying minoxidil. Because dry skin just looks bad and it ages your skin faster. Besides that sometimes my face is a little bit red but that‘s it.
Have you experienced any hair loss or hair thinning?
Don't stress yourself man! Good things take time (as cheesy as it sounds). I think I just got lucky, that's it :)

Thanks! Did you have any beard at all before or did you start with zero? I think if you have no facial hair at all when you begin it might take longer for results to show.
@@pauls.journey i had a goatee , almost . Nothing much on the sides though, perhaps I'm being overly critical , they day from week 8 onwards is when the gains start coming for most?
@@redknight9740 I think I noticed the first gains after a few weeks, but it can be different for everyone so I wouldn't worry too much :)
Had you take biotin supplemen as well along your minox treatment?

Your body responded strongly to applications. Others may take much longer. 3 months isn't bad for that gain 😊

And did it affect your scalp hair? Cause I've heard somewhere that when you apply on beard it shows some shedding effect on scalp as well.

I used it for about 9 months (talking about it in my 9 months update video).
I didn't notice any shedding phase when I started to use Minoxidil, so no, I don't think it affected my scalp hair negatively.
But some people wrote that my scalp hair looked thicker and healthier after using Minox.

@@dipeshzal hi Dipesh. I'm on my 5th month of minox journey. I've got some very positive results. For the first couple of months beard growth was pretty good and fast. But since last 1 month or so I've noticed the growth rate has been slow.

Witch type of minoxidil did you use and how many times a day ?
This gives me hope, my facial hair is at the same level from where u started, I can grow it I just have patches in a few spots that I need to fill in. Let’s hope I can grow something in 3 months.

There are some people who have nearly no results even after months of using Minoxidil. Try to not be so hard on you and just keep going. Your (bearded) future self will probably love you for your dedication ;)

The people who get good beard results are the people that would be able to grow a good beard in the future without minoxidil, and minoxidil just speeds it up. I’ve seen people on Reddit that used it for two years with such little gains.

No, I didn't use any oil. I just applied Minox twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. It is okay to trim your beard. I just didn't cut it often for the video

if you have the genetics. and u have small hair on ur face wich u dont see. then they will grow rapidly when u use minoxidil. it dosent grow new hairs.

So i have hope? 🥺 mine looks like yours on day 1 and ive been on minox for 6 months going on 7 ive dermarolled and taken biotin, vitamin D and everything and it doesnt look anywhere near yours now but im thinking i need to stop trimming it down and just go through the ugly stage and give it at least 6 months without trimming.
I‘ve used it for 4 months. Pretty much in the same position. I always trim because it looks ridiculous
People respond differently and ultimately it comes down to genetics however try using tugain foam which is 10%. I got significantly better results with this compared to using the usual 5%. Providing you don't already get side effects I'd give it ago got nothing to loose :) hope this helps
Yes, I think there is hope! It looks completely different if you let it grow out, but I'd only do it in your position if you don't care how your beard looks. But I personally don't think it affects your gains if you let it grow out or not

Yes, I think growing it longer helps a lot! Otherwise I would just recommend to keep using Minoxidil if you already had nice gains

No worries man, your English is fine :). No, you don't need to shave your face. It just makes it easier to apply.
I used the highest recommended dosage of my Minox (7x pumps, 2x day), so I'd follow the instructions of your Minox

Thanks :). Since the progress is differently for everyone, I can only suggest you not to give up and keep going! I've never used it, but maybe try looking into a derma roller. Otherwise than that, do you use a 5% solution?
