the anker motion booms in stereo are better than ALL OF THEM. THE t9s can only get loud but cant HIT the LOW END or NORMAL BASS NOTES that the anker motion booms can. I SUGGEST YOU PLAY CHRIS BROWN TURN UP THE MUSIC, AND CHRIS BROWN BADDEST to test this...
This is for an outdoors speaker. Garden parties and an outdoor circuit training thing I run for our rugby team . So my question to you is 1 x T9 or 2 x D8. I don't particularly like the handle on the D9.
With the T9, W-king is trying to give you the most performance at the best value so you have to sacrifice IP rating for great sound . By the looks of the speaker a little bit of splashing wouldn't hurt and just cover the ports up with some electrical tape if you are worried about it getting wet

I appreciate the video, I have a D8 and really love it, it doesn't make sense how cheap it is. (I paid $65 I think) It sounds close to as good as my $175 JBL and is probably louder. I mounted it to my Wolf King GT Pro scooter and it's sweet for playing music while I ride around. I figured I'd look see a bigger one from W King and the T9 came up. I know it would sound better, but actually hearing it in your video I heard the difference. And W King makes a backpack for it, so I can ride around with it on my back and Rickroll my neighbors at full volume. Your video also put the size into perspective, it doesn't seem as big on Amazon. And their listings on Amazon are bad, most of them don't have model numbers. I think I found the T9's IPX5, but I don't know because it looks like the T9, but it doesn't say T9 anywhere. And they have a bunch of other speakers that look close the same. T9-2, T9-Pro. The T9 with the backpack would be perfect for people who ride scooters or e bikes and want music with volume. The D8 sounds good, but when I'm going 40 the wind drowns out a lot. This would be a lot louder. Thank you for this video, the fact this speaker is $95 with the coupon right now is crazy. The JBL equivalent will be $300-400 lol. And IMHO it looks pretty slick in the backpack.
I tried to volume match these as they were playing because to the human brain, louder instantly excites us. When I turned down the D9 and T9 through the transition they sound very similar. I had a pair of all 3 and the T9 woofer is only 1/4" larger than the D9 and I think the tweeters are identical because I removed the grills. The packaging and porting is different but they are essentially the same. Louder doesn't mean better sound and the mic couldn't tell me much here. I'll wait for Ross to perform a frequency analysis on the T9. Upper bass is very tricky because it's so exciting. It's what I call the dance bass that makes you heart thump. Lower sub bass makes your doors fall off their hinges. The new WKing X10 from what I'm hearing is still repackaging of the same stuff. It's not that much different from the others. Wkings are great for the price but they are just moving the guts around from one enclosure to another and playing with the specs to make it seem different. Different target consumers which is fine but I'd like for them to stop the shuffling of guts and make a $200 masterpiece version and not a reverse engineered copy of someone's original idea.
I got the what I think is the re-released D7 and after like couple hours of breaking it in it sounds very nice, strong bass, with 2 ports in the back and tweeters that make the highs sound really strong.
This is down to personal preference. T9 to my ears sounds more balanced if a little too bright but it trades some bass volume. D9 emphasises that upper bass kick but at cost of clarity. D8 is kind of the middle but it has that slight distortion and noise in the background. I guess to each there own?
I agree they all 3 are great affordable speakers.For inside i would choose the T9. the clarity in the mids is amazing,The bass is not as deep as the D9 on outside mode but it is a more natural bass with a solid punch,which i would compensate by placing them on a corner on the floor and bang..IF 2 could be linked that'd be a different story.Some wrote a comment on how great 2 anker soundcore paired sound and he's right.They really sound good in stereo mode
For me, size means everything. Since I'm using the speaker 100% at work, where storage space is at a premium. The D8 is the best size of the 3, as it's rugged, small enough to store in the toolbox and the soft permanently attached handle, offers one less thing to get lost . The D9 was great, but the hard handle was a deal breaker. And the T9 was completely out of the question, as I'd have to store it in my car and carry it inside every day. (nope, not happening)
I use the D9 every day at work and turn it up to about 50-60% volume and it fills the warehouse with a great sound just solid. Just got the T9 and will try it at work but it looks and sounds like it might be a little over kill
I want one of these for using in my room/bathroom and pool when I can’t use the good speakers in my living room. Which one would be best? I like the idea of t9, but might be too large to move around.
I had the D9, that thing is crazy loud and does not distort, if you are looking for one of these the D9 is the one to go for, portability alone it wins. If you are looking for a speaker for, say, spin class of course the T9 but its only a tiny bit louder and its twice the size. On a side note, you can now get the T10-1 for the same price as the D9 and that T10-1 is by far the best speaker W-KING has ever produced.
If we wanted to use the phone. Laptop and usb is the t9 best then. You had mentioned about the control of volume tho is that a issue for recording artists ?
I ordered the t9 after owning 2 w king d9 and I agree with wilson..... the t9 sounded good but I couldn't say that much better than 1 d9 to justify me keeping it. Def no comparison to 2 d9's which I got on sale after taxes for 73.49. They were 79.99 plus 10 percent off but also when ya figure in the t9 has no protection against spills or drops I mean it's cool if ya want lights and has lil but more bass than 1 d9 and gets a tad louder.. but unless a person needs lightshow I believe overall the d9 is most special outta all these and wonder what decibels come outta the d9 because the t9 didn't have much more overall volume in my opinion and jdl I emailed w king thru Amazon the t9 has no ip rating and was told it should not get wet!! Great vid tho man and I should add I haven't owned a d8 but my current set up is my 2 d9s after sending the t9 back amd couldn't be happier.... will also add before that I owned the jbl extreme 2 the aiwa exos 3 the soundcore motion plus then the motion boom and lastly harmon kardon onyx 6..... id take 1 d9 over all thise and 2 is insane especially when figuring in the price... sounds better and way cheaper than all those besides the soundcore speakers... I can put 1 in each corner and the tws on em is phenomenal.... no cuttin out ... the distance between them is crazy good for not losing a connection but glad someone else is enjoying these too! !! If any a those other speakers were better in my opinion I'd have 2 of em but I seriously think these r that good!! 1 of my older brothers has a bose revolve he got on sale for like 150...... he had me order him 1 of these when they were on sale for like 73 and change with shipping and he commented on jdl last vid on d9 that he only wishes he would have had me order him 2 of em!!!! But his bose revolve doesn't even compare to 1 of these at thats a 200 speaker altho can get often for 150 but still why have 1 of those or lot of others if ya can have 1 of these or like I see it buy 2 of em on sale for less than 1 of those..... the only other speakers that had my attention were the aiwa exos 9 and the newer jbl 310 but after gettin the t9 I've decided I'm done lookin at those.... T9 has same tweeters as the d9 but bigger ported woofers and more wattage. Overall volume is close but the T9 has much better bass. For me personally the T9 sounds much better due to that much improved bass over the d9.
@@strike_shamrock5525 it def has bit more lower end bass and tad bit more volume but overall it just isn't a huge improvement in my opinion and add in the build quality of d9 the ipx 6 and its a damn ill tank and I just after bout 20 min of listening on the t9 I put it right back in box and returned to ups store...I mean it sounded great no doubt about it... but again not enough for me to keep it over 1 d9 and def not better than 2 d9s. I don't know maybe too its cuz my d9s are def broke in I got lot of hrs on em since Jan when I got em but I guess to simplify to me the d9 sounds better than all others I tried and I love the build of it.... if the t9 had been a decent jump in sound from the d9 I'd have kept it but it's only slightly better in my opinion and again has no ip rating for water or dust like the d9 does so it was easy choice for me
@@strike_shamrock5525 and if ya look at w king t9 reviews I think it's on youtube or in the reviews on amazon but one guy takes the t9 grill and d9 grill off and compares the woofers they're almost same size tad bigger but supposedly too I read w king is comin with some other stuff now too and guy who shared thus info called the t9 coming when it did like 2 months ago.. he emailed w king and I guess they soon will be coming with another t9 model with more ip rating and also the d9 successor the d10 which will have bit bigger everything and run 70 watts rms 90 peak so im def waitin and gonna enjoy the 2 d9s till then... also they have a k9l speaker... look that thing up man it's a fn beast of a speaker if I could get that here in states I'd be all over it

I'm in a wheelchair and I could use a bigger version of the D9 that has a strap for your neck lights up with awesome battery life and isn't just loud as hell but sounds like a JBL but is budget friendly!
I have the d9 and it has 3 modes... high, treble high and bass boost. Not out door and indoor, That helps when comparing them because you only showed 2 modes. Peace ✌️

@@alexcolin7613 The DAC makes a big difference on the speakers,I put my kids iPhone on it , sounds like shit, harsh ,no warmth, the bass is just drone sound,I will not listen to music unless it has DAC, you hear more and the bass has a punch not that lousy drone sound that is suppose to be bass, I'm happy.Even my buds where very impressed,I said go buy an external DAC for a phone,he did and said best 100 bucks I spent
Damn this video finally made it to my play list... okay so with all those letters and numbers you needed a better stage manager with your product placement to simplify your review. I would help if near by. On to these Speakers... I have 2 JBL BOOMBOXS, 2 JBL EXTREMES, 2 JBL EXTREME 2, 2 OF THE JBL 360 LIGHTSHOWS and all have the same issues. Without the a/c power cord plugged in the watts are half of the numbers posted on the box. I guess that was to save battery. I'll add 2 JBL clips & 2 JBL Clips 2. Damn I am a JBL fanboy. I also have 2 milwaukee Bluetooth speakers that swap out the m12 and or m18 batteries for forever playing. So with these 3 kings, while on battery power did they lose volume? Thanks
I can't recommend WKing, a friend bought the T9-2. At first glance it looks nice and sounds quite good. However, it's a bit bass-heavy, the mids and highs are sometimes a bit drowned out, so it's not suitable for all tracks. Unfortunately there is no app/EQ function to change this. The next disadvantage: only one device can connect, the standard for Bluetooth 5 is 2, so wtf? If you want to take turns with 2 people, that's annoying. There is also no party mode to pair multiple devices like there is with Sony, JBL UE or soundcore. So it's better to spend a little more on something really good.

I love your personality and your presentation. The problem when testing these speakers is making them work, That music you play may be your taste, and that is not what this is about, but it does not make them work. You need to find a busy song that will tax the speakers ups and lows. Slaves and bulldozer's by soundgarden. Or when the levee breaks by zeppelin or really any song with vocals, kicking bass and a good chunk of high notes. All together. Does not have to be rock music. At least some vocals with that bass. @@UKRglory I have a T9 and I have a friend who got the X10 for the ipx rating. They are similar in overall volume with the x10 having a slightly punchier bass but the T9s big advantage is in the mids and highs. The x10 sounds muddy compared to the T9. The T9 is a great sounding speaker. The X10 sounds good but not near as good as the T9. Only get the X10 if you need the IPX rating. I looked up the difference between the T9, T9-1 and T9-2. Apparently the only difference between the 3 is the WiFi chip. Shortages have resulted in them having to change chips. Everything else is supposed to be the same. If you want to buy 2 make sure they are the same exact model or they won't pair.

Does the d9 passive radiator on the back serve both the woofers (i.e are they driven by the left and right woofers in the unit)? I presume this is the case, but it's a little bit unusual isn't it? Normally portable speakers with left and right channel woofers have a division in them and separate passive radiators, eg, the D8.
I suspect the mfg is coming out with a successor to the T9 very soon. Most likely their new model will have some kind of water resistance properties which was the major complaint about the T9 not having any. The ONN brand equivalent @ Walmart is a very worthy and quite possibly superior competitor. Search item # 578634432 on their website. Good luck!
I just got a d8 today and I’m seriously impressed! This is my delivery truck radio/shop radio/radio for when I’m out working on service calls/outdoor weekend hang time speaker....... shit I might try to figure out a quick attach/detach system for my motorcycle.
And I understand the other options may be better for others but I’m using the d8 to replace a black web $30 small speaker that the charging port broke on so this is a major upgrade from my last portable speaker.
See, now, I've had an Anker soundcore mini for like 3 years and that's been my speaker. I just ordered the d8 after Christmas and it wasn't in my house half an hour before I was printing off a return label. I was not impressed at all. I've got the d9 coming today to hopefully blow me away but I'm not holding my breath. The d8 was barely better than my little tiny soundcore. And at a hundred bucks vs the 29 I paid for the Anker, I was really left wanting.

T9 has no ipx rating because the subs are ported. Which is also why it has so much more bass than the d8 or d9. The T9 is the winner easily.

They need to make a speaker that the keys light up at night and you can turn the key lights on and off as needed.

Great vid tho man and I should add I haven't owned a d8 but my current set up is my 2 d9s after sending the t9 back amd couldn't be happier.... will also add before that I owned the jbl extreme 2 the aiwa exos 3 the soundcore motion plus then the motion boom and lastly harmon kardon onyx 6..... id take 1 d9 over all thise and 2 is insane especially when figuring in the price... sounds better and way cheaper than all those besides the soundcore speakers... @@musickb4515 another thing I should add is like right now I was grilling some food outside we live in mn so finally nice out and I had these 2 d9s in the backyard ... we have a big backyard.... I can put 1 in each corner and the tws on em is phenomenal.... no cuttin out ... the distance between them is crazy good for not losing a connection but glad someone else is enjoying these too! !! If any a those other speakers were better in my opinion I'd have 2 of em but I seriously think these r that good!! 1 of my older brothers has a bose revolve he got on sale for like 150...... he had me order him 1 of these when they were on sale for like 73 and change with shipping and he commented on jdl last vid on d9 that he only wishes he would have had me order him 2 of em!!!! But his bose revolve doesn't even compare to 1 of these at thats a 200 speaker altho can get often for 150 but still why have 1 of those or lot of others if ya can have 1 of these or like I see it buy 2 of em on sale for less than 1 of those..... the only other speakers that had my attention were the aiwa exos 9 and the newer jbl 310 but after gettin the t9 I've decided I'm done lookin at those.... Im Gonna rock the shit outta these d9s until the d10 appears!!!! Take care tho man!!
T9 has same tweeters as the d9 but bigger ported woofers and more wattage. Overall volume is close but the T9 has much better bass. For me personally the T9 sounds much better due to that much improved bass over the d9.
@@strike_shamrock5525 it def has bit more lower end bass and tad bit more volume but overall it just isn't a huge improvement in my opinion and add in the build quality of d9 the ipx 6 and its a damn ill tank and I just after bout 20 min of listening on the t9 I put it right back in box and returned to ups store...I mean it sounded great no doubt about it... but again not enough for me to keep it over 1 d9 and def not better than 2 d9s. I don't know maybe too its cuz my d9s are def broke in I got lot of hrs on em since Jan when I got em but I guess to simplify to me the d9 sounds better than all others I tried and I love the build of it.... if the t9 had been a decent jump in sound from the d9 I'd have kept it but it's only slightly better in my opinion and again has no ip rating for water or dust like the d9 does so it was easy choice for me
@@strike_shamrock5525 and if ya look at w king t9 reviews I think it's on youtube or in the reviews on amazon but one guy takes the t9 grill and d9 grill off and compares the woofers they're almost same size tad bigger but supposedly too I read w king is comin with some other stuff now too and guy who shared thus info called the t9 coming when it did like 2 months ago.. he emailed w king and I guess they soon will be coming with another t9 model with more ip rating and also the d9 successor the d10 which will have bit bigger everything and run 70 watts rms 90 peak so im def waitin and gonna enjoy the 2 d9s till then... also they have a k9l speaker... look that thing up man it's a fn beast of a speaker if I could get that here in states I'd be all over it

Each speaker serves its purpose the t9 is DEFINITELY a house speaker and the d8 is safer around water. Overall they are some GOOD speakers!

On to these Speakers... I have 2 JBL BOOMBOXS, 2 JBL EXTREMES, 2 JBL EXTREME 2, 2 OF THE JBL 360 LIGHTSHOWS and all have the same issues. Without the a/c power cord plugged in the watts are half of the numbers posted on the box. I guess that was to save battery. I'll add 2 JBL clips & 2 JBL Clips 2. Damn I am a JBL fanboy. I also have 2 milwaukee Bluetooth speakers that swap out the m12 and or m18 batteries for forever playing.

I can't recommend WKing, a friend bought the T9-2. At first glance it looks nice and sounds quite good. However, it's a bit bass-heavy, the mids and highs are sometimes a bit drowned out, so it's not suitable for all tracks. Unfortunately there is no app/EQ function to change this. The next disadvantage: only one device can connect, the standard for Bluetooth 5 is 2, so wtf? If you want to take turns with 2 people, that's annoying.
There is also no party mode to pair multiple devices like there is with Sony, JBL UE or soundcore.
So it's better to spend a little more on something really good.

D8 is comparable if not louder than xtreme 2 even.
I love your personality and your presentation. The problem when testing these speakers is making them work, That music you play may be your taste, and that is not what this is about, but it does not make them work. You need to find a busy song that will tax the speakers ups and lows. Slaves and bulldozer's by soundgarden. Or when the levee breaks by zeppelin or really any song with vocals, kicking bass and a good chunk of high notes. All together. Does not have to be rock music. At least some vocals with that bass. @@UKRglory I have a T9 and I have a friend who got the X10 for the ipx rating. They are similar in overall volume with the x10 having a slightly punchier bass but the T9s big advantage is in the mids and highs. The x10 sounds muddy compared to the T9. The T9 is a great sounding speaker. The X10 sounds good but not near as good as the T9. Only get the X10 if you need the IPX rating.
I looked up the difference between the T9, T9-1 and T9-2. Apparently the only difference between the 3 is the WiFi chip. Shortages have resulted in them having to change chips. Everything else is supposed to be the same. If you want to buy 2 make sure they are the same exact model or they won't pair.

Does the d9 passive radiator on the back serve both the woofers (i.e are they driven by the left and right woofers in the unit)? I presume this is the case, but it's a little bit unusual isn't it? Normally portable speakers with left and right channel woofers have a division in them and separate passive radiators, eg, the D8.

I suspect the mfg is coming out with a successor to the T9 very soon. Most likely their new model will have some kind of water resistance properties which was the major complaint about the T9 not having any. The ONN brand equivalent @ Walmart is a very worthy and quite possibly superior competitor. Search item # 578634432 on their website. Good luck!

I just got a d8 today and I’m seriously impressed! This is my delivery truck radio/shop radio/radio for when I’m out working on service calls/outdoor weekend hang time speaker....... shit I might try to figure out a quick attach/detach system for my motorcycle.
And I understand the other options may be better for others but I’m using the d8 to replace a black web $30 small speaker that the charging port broke on so this is a major upgrade from my last portable speaker.
See, now, I've had an Anker soundcore mini for like 3 years and that's been my speaker. I just ordered the d8 after Christmas and it wasn't in my house half an hour before I was printing off a return label. I was not impressed at all. I've got the d9 coming today to hopefully blow me away but I'm not holding my breath. The d8 was barely better than my little tiny soundcore. And at a hundred bucks vs the 29 I paid for the Anker, I was really left wanting.
