I also didn’t buy the Living Room because of the price. I am also happy with my Extreme Sets sewer lair diorama. However…I do have some regret. I know when all these sets are put together it will look amazing. I just couldn’t look my wife in the eyes and say “It only costs 350”!

I'm not spending so much money for these sets. I use the inserts from the 4 packs to make my own dioramas and which look great. I understand what you are saying.......TOO MUCH DAMN MONEY!!!
Neca said that the lab and the kitchen won’t be as big, so my guess is the lab and kitchen will be loaded with accessories so they can still charge $300
I didn’t get Living Room but Donnie’s Lab is tempting. I got that goofy portal. Yeah I overpaid for it. I’m really digging the machines. It is getting tough to keep shelling out $200-300 at a time…I can make my own living room. I did make a sewer display for my NECA stuff from insulation foam and tubes. It didn’t cost me even $50 in material, well paint probably pushed it just over $50. I can’t make those cool machines as easy. I’ll have to see…
I feel you 💯 Dad Hatter. With prices going up on everything it’s the next evolution stage for collecting. Personally, I limit my purchases or consider the value in what I’m getting. In this case I’d say Don’s Machine accessory set is best priced at $50-80 (it could be different for you) but if I don’t see the value it’s not hard to pass. Heck, if it doesn’t sell out you could probably find it in the NECA Vault down the line 😜
I sold all my NECA stuff and am only buying the Heat Boys figures to go with my Transformers but I do hope they offer the living room again for any that might want it.
Don't sweat it hatter, it's quite over-priced at 300 bucks for what you get. I mean, it uses a lot of plastic so I can understand the price, but you don't get that much for 300 bucks. It's really only if you want to have that 80s cartoon series living room location in your collection. If you love that location from the show. There are a lot of scenes in the cartoon series from the living room, so it's really up to whether or not you want to recreate that in your displays.

These I wasn't into but I do have a slight pain in my heart missing out on the Party Wagon. Now movie lair on the other hand I might consider if they made them, especially the SOTO train station.
I got the living room and I'm in for this. Living room did seem overpriced but I looked at the fact I bought the Haslab Galactus and although I love it standing on my shelf towering over the rest of the display, in hindsight it wasn't worth £300. I think I've used the light effect about 5 times. NECA turtle van also awesome but 250? I sadly think it'd the future of the collecting community but I totally agree with you it's a personal preference, no ones making you buy it.
Bought the lair, but I only plan to purchase the kitchen. Donnie’s lab looks like it has some cool accessories, but it’s not a need for me like the lair and kitchen sets.

I sent my wife the link for the accessory set, letting her know that I wanted that for Christmas. She ended up getting the accessory set and the lair. Can't say that I was disappointed. And I'm definitely looking forward to lair add-ons. I don't feel bad about it, the lair is awesome. Looking forward to Ramen Toys lair as well.

My most expensive piece is the NECA party wagon. Now that I FINALLY have it in hand I’m kind of on the fence if it was actually worth it🫤.I have a feeling I am out on the big expensive sets going forward.
The Living-room was just too basic to justify $300 price. If the Lab has alot more bang-for--buck then i would definitely become more optimistic about the NECA Diorama Line. That white mounted Robot arm "thingy" looks very cool so if there is more of that stuff included then maybe it will be a good value. In any event, i hope they wait till fall to release this because my bank-account and i are taking a lil break from TMNT to focus on other projects and stuff. Probly pick it back up again later this year.
I think NECA is going to redeem themselves with the initial living room price by pricing the lab the same. In other words, the profits of the living room payed for the tooling. Now they can afford to make more and add more accessories, giving more value to the price. In the world of collecting, $300 is not bad for that diorama. I heard those custom made dios will cost about the same… I also agree with the $200 being the price! I would have bought the living room if it came with the accessories set. It’s a little lackluster without it, and that set was an extra $60-70 bucks on top!

I really feel like the van came in with a lower profit margin than expected due to the tooling issues. It would make sense the recoup some of that with the lair. Now this is just a smaller layer with extra pieces of injection parts. There is zero reason this should be $300. If this comes out at $300 or higher, we have a right to be pissed. That's just greed.

I won't be buying any Lairs because the walls are overpriced and are not even double sided... not worth it... but if they decide to sell room accessory packs then I will be up for it, individual pieces are easier to fit on to display and my printed brick wall is good enough for illusion of background

I honestly don't see the Technodrome ever being made, the scale size of it would be massive Bigger than that CatsLair given the figure line is scaled pretty close to that of the cartoon size characters and Neca is about getting scale size character's legit meaning the Techno would have to meet that scale size if Not it would look like a joke to everything else that has been made up to that point, and that means certain characters wouldn't fit inside if made smaller like Chrome-drome or Krangs Body. which we all know everyone would want krangs body to fit inside and command. But let's not forget that No module has been made and the size of one of those would need to be part of the Techno as I don't see one of those fitting inside. What I honestly see them doing if they make the Technodrome is stage room scenes with accessories like example the main throne room where the Dimension portal computer console is as one location, second location maybe a Bebop and Rocksteady bed-room style area something on those lines as alternative way to make the Techno feel scale sized. You do understand a Scale Size of a full Techno would be the size of a Real one-story house NOT happening. Until Neca make's a Foot clan vehicle of anything I don't see a reason to even think or talk about a Technodrome. Over-priced toys Neca makes!

I'm speculating it will be $250/300 for the lab itself since it's a little smaller than the lair portion and $100/150 for a lab accessory set like the did with the liar and original accessories set. That's my guess.
I hate to say it, but this is something I would likely be convinced to get. Maybe if they made another accessory set and put half of the lab stuff in it I wouldn’t care. But this is all new “goodies” inside.

I need a map to help me find the bridge, just so I can point at it and say "you see that bridge, it's a bridge too far". Wild price. Anyway, I'll get the MUSK or go back to making my own if that one doesn't happen.

Who flushed more customer goodwill down the toilet with their dumbass pricing decisions? McFarlane trying to get $40 for his repaints or NECA trying to get $300 for the Sewer Lair? I can't speak for anyone else, but NECA lost me on cartoon dioramas after that dumbass sewer lair pricing decision. After Giant Krang, I'm out. There's no reason to have any other rooms without the living room, and I couldn't in good conscience support the living room price, so there's just no justification to go in on anything else. How many people are buying the lab without the living room? And how many people have space for both? The Sewer Lair sold some absurdly low number (I think it was like 3,722 or something) that would have failed nearly any crowdfunding campaign. If this is priced at like $250, I would bet they sell fewer than 1,000 units. My cartoon collection is already way bigger than what I can reasonably display, and their choice to price like that just made me want to sell almost all of it and move on. And I'm not alone- the secondary market has absolutely cratered in the past few months. They are on the precipice, where if they alienate enough "completionists" who have the money but just don't feel happy forking over $1,000 for 3 shoeboxes, they will just dump their whole collections rather than be missing a few key pieces. And stop giving NECA money.
