Thank you very much. Means a ton. We have had a ton of family stuff going on this spring. I hope to get back to making videos soon. Thanks for the support and for watching!!
I was scrolling through my feed and found your video. Good video. Just subscribed. I have my own channel, but I have not melted in about 4 months. I got busy with family and work. I need to start again.
Thank you very much for watching and for the sub. Yes, I have seen your channel in the past. Just subscribed. Great content!! I have kids as well, it gets tough to find time but it is a good hobby that I can do at home. And slightly cheaper than golf lol.
New subscriber here from England 🇬🇧,, great video, thats a cool way to extract the copper from the armature moters ,what do you do with commutator thats copper all so ?
Thank you very much. Crazy that these videos reach people across the world. Very cool. I am not super familiar with the terminology of these motors, but I looked up the commutator and it seems to be attached to the armature on these. It would have melted with the copper wire. Thanks for watching!!!
@@RGCmetal thank you for replying back to me,yeah am a hobbiest scrapper and I watch lots of different scrapping channels from all over the world 🌎 ,I have to wait until summer to get my furnace out and setup, ill be keeping my notification bell on for your next video, am currently not well so I haven't been able to upload no videos on my channel 👍

Thank you very much for watching. I’m loving the new mold. It’s huge. I finally got a bigger copper crucible. I’m going to fill it up with copper next.
You need a refractory cement coating. There are many different brands to choose from but all should do about the same thing. Main goal is to keep the ceramic fibers in the furnace when it is running. I bought this one from Amazon. Thanks for watching. Mr Volcano Refractory Satanite... www.amazon.com/dp/B095XJ1BDB?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Thank you for watching. I am REALLY enjoying it. I learn something new every time I melt. My best suggestion is to do your research. Watch a ton of other people melt and learn what NOT to do from our mistakes. Molten metal is extremely dangerous. Always wear protective gear and be mindful of your surroundings. Please reach out if you have any questions.
Yes, you are right. I was in a hurry and did not follow the mixing instructions from the package. It dried ok, but probably a thinner layer than it should have been.
The fact that he is turning old useless things into something cool is what makes it useful. The hobby is mostly for the numismatic value and not so much about use usability. I myself have poured many copper bars, cleaned them up, and resold them for 5x more than copper melt.. You obviously spent little time into your comment that made nothing better so I take you are just trying to rile someone up. Lastly, the redundancy in that comment is insane!😂 at least you figured out how to use a comma🤦
awesome.. looking forward to more melts
Thank you, and thanks for watching. More melts to come for sure!!
….I swear you are BETTER than Big StackD Please make more vids and continue this awesome hobby! SO PROFESSIONAL AND SATISFYING ❤ Much love from Iowa

Thank you so much for watching. Yes, I have a quality respirator and wear it when melting and sanding. 👍👍
@@RGCmetal I saw a regular mask and didn't know. Glad you have good safety gear! :)
Were you inspired by the bigstackD Casting channel?
It turned out very cool)
Thank you!! Yes, BigStackD was my first inspiration for melting. I am still working to get through all of his videos.
I’ve watched over 300 of BigStackD’s videos and I can assure you that this and all of your other videos can compare greatly to that of his quality❤

This is useless, I don't even see the use in this
Sorry you see it that way. It is a hobby that I enjoy and enjoy sharing with others. Thank you for watching.
