I was playing goalie back in the days when reversing with the ball was legal. I remember a pretty tall guy coming at me slowly backwards in practice. I have no idea what he was going to do exactly but as soon as he opened his legs pretty wide I dove between them and caught the ball. It was one of my favorite penalty shot moments even though it was just practice. Probably because I can't remember the team ever laughing that hard. :)

Not sure. When we were kids in the early 90's, we always had Finnish baseball glove, blocker made in school woodworks and a stick and later street hockey versions of those, due to heavy influence of hockey and NHL and we didn't like the floorball version. I think floorball just copied the rules of rinkball (version of ice bandy, but in hockey rink) which is an older sport than floorball and in all of these goalie does not have a stick or a blocker. It would be interesting to see comparison, but I think in floorball a glove, a stick and a blocker might be too heavy for save reactions and hinders your ability to do a quick accurate passes.
I absolutely hated it when at some point im my youth in Finland kids mostly quit playing this hockey kind of game and switced to floorball rules and gave me strange looks if I showed up with my street hockey goalie gear.
They would get in the way. We need to play on our knees to cover enough area and because of the relatively high friction of the floor. Some of the faster movements require the use of our hands, that would be impossible with a stick or blockers.
Some of them didn't move forward at one point, neither did de ball. Nr2, the last move was backwards and she didn't move forwards, shouldnt count. Nr 1 as well. Ball behind the back while not moving forward 😬😅 Of course they're incredible 👌🏻
Too small. Way too small. They need to change the rule back to where the pkayer cant go backwards and it would atleast make the goelies job somewhat doable
I’m an ice hockey goalie, but I also play floor hockey as well. Rules are the same as ice and goalie has same equipment as ice just lighter pads…I guess you can also call it street hockey but we play in a gymnasium(ball not puck)… if majority decides it…no icing and no offsides is fun. 🤙 this floor ball is odd.

It looked like some of the players were grown ups, and not one had a beer in their free hand. Someone needs to break the news to them that this is not a real sport.
