    Just a clarification. When you say "syncopate" the drums, do you actually mean "synchonize"? Meaning to have the kicks play the same rhythm as the guitar? I thought you were going to move the kicks around to the off beats but you were just doubling the guitar with the kicks. That got me confused.

      @@BrendonKPadjasek Forgot to say, great video man! Thank you. Can you also create a video for just riffs? Or just breakdown common ideas in metalcore riffs for intros, verses, and choruses. That's not to say that a video on writing a breakdown doesn't already help immensely 😅. Let's just say that as a hard rock guy, it's very hard to come up with metalcore riffs. lol. Some help on being able to analyze what makes a riff a metalcore riff would be great.

    Also an important distinction to make is that breakdowns should get the crowd moving, not just have the big Hollywood-type "wow" factor. I see a lot if bands nowadays with breakdowns that get big reactions on RUclips, but they don't really sound good live imo.
    Remember, the breakdown is to get the crowd moving and moshing, not to make them freeze.

    • @BrendonKPadjasek
      @BrendonKPadjasek  4 месяца назад +1

      Definitely agree with that. I actually said that in my other breakdown and buildup video so I didn’t find it important to mention it again. But you’re right about that. I also meant that with the whole “if course you can over and under so it” at the beginning

    Can you explain to me what is the double drop tune? How can I use something similar on a 8 string?

    • @BrendonKPadjasek
      @BrendonKPadjasek  4 месяца назад +1

      So somewhat “controversial”. As the old definition of double drop is when you drop the top string and the bottom string. But the way modern metal approaches it is that it’s an octave lower than it normally would be. So instead of drop a on a normal guitar it’s an octave lower than that , since I’m using a 30” neck.
      In my 8 string I have my tuning to double drop E and sometimes D.
      You just need the right thickness of string. I use an 84 on my 8 string to get to E/D. How long is the scale of your neck?

    • @Durkhead
      @Durkhead 4 месяца назад +2

      @@BrendonKPadjasek you need to start using the numbers for example the tuning your talking about i believe is D1

    This guitar is very noisy. I got those 100-20s on them and all set up. But still It’s very noisy. I’ve set it up two ways. Higher and lower action. And it sure sounded like a bass so I lowered the action. It needs that percussive slap on the strings to sound good. I did switch the bridge around. What a modification. lol. The guitar guys said my guitar is not warrantied if I flip the bridge. lol. Anyone who has this guitar will know what I’m saying.

    • @BrendonKPadjasek
      @BrendonKPadjasek  4 месяца назад

      Yeah single coils are quite noisey. I find it sounds like a guitar if I put it on a guitar amp and sound alike a bass if I put it on a bass amp. That bridge think makes no sense to void the warranty because it’s not like you made any actual change to the bridge. That’s like saying if you switch the tone and volume knob the guitar warranty is invalid haha
