    Mechanic here.
I noticed both in this video and your Earthquake review video that you interchange the terms ratchet and impact with these tool.
Just to clarify, both the Earthquake and this Hercules tool are ratchets, not impacts. Except for smaller sized bolts, they're not designed to first break the fastener loose with it's power. You use the tool body itself (like a regular driver) then you use the power to take it the rest of the way out.
An actual right angle impact tool (like Milwaukee) has a much larger head in order to house the hammer drive mechanism to create the impacts and operates the same as any other gun style impact.

Awesome. Thanks for the fill in. I use the term impact because It’s what I found in research. But what you said makes sense and I do own a true impact gun. I should make sure to note I do only use this one after breaking free the bolts or technically do impact off small nuts and bolts with minimal torque

Yes, these style ratchets are for loosening and snug tightening only. Actual break away torquing (or fastening torque) is done with the ratchet body itself. That's why there's a locking ratchet mechanism in the head of the tool, so the gear teeth can rest against the latch for torquing.
I linked a video below of the Kobalt right angle impact which you'll notice is similarly shaped to a ratchet driver but with the much larger head for the impact driver portion. 👨‍🔧🔩

Agree, and the torque numbers are for advertising purposes only. All who know how to use an electric ratchets know, as long as it has enough torque to turn a rusty/sticking nut/bolt efficiently, your good. The torque comes from you to tighten down.

As someone who works in autobody, these tools are NOT meant for torquing or breaking large bolts. The shop I work at uses snap-on and they do the job but they are not meant for doing the job of an impact or torque wrench.

You are 100% correct. I use this everyday but use a breaker bar or the tool if applicable. Sorry if I mis informed. My goal was to show the power of tool but your right. It not an impact type tool and I meant to display the capabilities. Thank you and thank you for working in the industry

I agree. A lot of people complain that it’s not strong enough. But by the end of the day it’s a ratchet not a impact.

Hercules make solid tools The only one I've been disappointed with was the multi-tool it just seemed underpowered and it would cut out a lot and I recently got some bower tools today that I'm looking forward to trying when I get home and I didn't want to buy into a new tool line and have to get another battery and charger but Hercules doesn't make a nailer or a inflator deflator for your car so I'm probably going to use Bauer stuff as my car mechanic equipment and keep it in my vehicle
