Thanks, Stephane. Your blog on the regional origins is brilliant. Like I said, I didn't realise you delivered to the UK. So good to know. Thanks for letting me use the pictures
Bit late picking up the video as you know I am a huge fan of Opinel so got to wonder why most other French knives cost so much, France covers a lot of area so not surprising the variety on offer, it is a shame they aren't well known here and not many retailers carry them, you will have a lot of videos to make as you acquire different patterns and makes, more overtime methinks. lol😁
Opinel is now very automated. They have a very modern facility. It no doubt brings the cost right down. Some cool factory tours online. I love an Opinel. It's so affordable and brilliant! I keep one in the kitchen where I use it a lot. Too much work atm 😂. I'm as frugal as they come. I have a set amount I spend on knives a year. I might explain it and take everyone along next year. Hope you are doing well, my friend? Always good to hear from you! 🤝
Another fantastic video pal ,I do have a soft spot for french knives ,and love the old rustic sodbusters ,that is a nice knife pal but I'm with you on the birds eye rivet 👊
😂🤣😂 But you can't beat Opinel for price. I might do a Frugal French Friday starring the Opinel 😂 I still can't decide. On nights tonight, so will give my one knife serious thought 🤔 Cheer MB
An interesting and informative vid Martin. 👍 I didn't know of this company but have now added one of these to the ever expanding 'must have' list. Exactly my cup of tea. I do agree about the Birds Eye rivet being preferable but I suppose the torx screw gives these a uniqueness. On a side note I discovered a channel yesterday simply titled David Beau. He's been doing some shorts showing off absolutely beautiful custom Bucks.❤
Hi Ed 👋 That David Beau channel 🤯😯🫠. Just subbed. Amazing knives...thanks for the heads up. Hope you're all good Ed? Hopefully getting back to posting more often soon. 👊
Martin, thanks for a good video and for the shout out.

Fantastic video. Love the history and the different regional French makers. There is so much more to French knives than Opinel!
