Glad to see you back and addressing why you've been away. No shame in getting burned out, living your life, and then footage piling up because you put so much effort into your vids. I got into skateboarding and finger boarding and my life is much better now thanks to you and without you I’d probably be living with the worst mental health ever. I remember starting to fingerboard when 2020 started and everyone was on lock down and I watched this same exact video 10 EASY FINGERBOARD TRICKS!, I got pretty much hooked on ur humor and you were very entertaining. I was sad when you werent uploading anymore but im glad your back ❤
It's really reassuring to get an actual update, and satisfying to know that you've been doing as well as you have been. I can say that it genuinely makes me happy to see your happiness, so thanks for that. I'm also happy to know that you didn't feel pressured (or at least too pressured) enough to deny yourself a much needed and deserved break. It conveys to me that you do this out of genuine intrinsical joy rather than any 'not as cool' extrinsic motivation (like money); and you know when it's becoming unhealthy, and how to handle that. That's amazing. And of course, thanks for making awesome content to begin with. You live a life that inspires many, including me: some random subscriber.

Watching this took me straight back to when I was about 12 years old and the highlight of my day would be watching your old snowboarding and surfing videos after school. I don't know if you remember or you'll have time to read this but I met you once in Christchurch near the riverside market and got my little sister to take a photo of me with you. To this day that's one of my best memories and I still look up to your carefree and easy-going outlook on life. Missed you David can't wait the videos to be back and super happy for Macie and you.
