With an LED mixing fixture, you could edit the personality file so the maximum of the channel would be set to 127 and become the strobe channel, while the V Dimmer takes care of the intensity.

Rob, that was excellent! You are very clear on your speech, excellent tutorial, will there be any more from yourself for Chamsys?

That's very kind. I figure there are plenty of MagicQ videos around these days but I may make some more. Cheers.

I'm having problems with the multiple parameters on the same channel there is strobe 0-127 and dimmer 128-256 what would you do?

Hello friends, I have a problem and would like to count on your help. I would like to record the effect of "DIM CHASE" in a given playback, and independent of the scene that is going on in any of the 9 remaining playback, when I trigger that recorded "DIM CHASE" enter function "DIM CHASE" without changing anything in the scene that was previously. In other words, I would write a scene that only the channel "DIMMER" the device was turned on, regardless of what is happening in the current scene. Am I clear? :)

The new playback must contain ONLY dimmer information from the programmer (Activate by Channel is the easiest setting to do this with, not by Head. Don't Locate, just call up the dimmer channel levels). Alternatively, use only the Dimmer info by doing Shift+RECORD and filtering what is recorded. However, because of the HTP nature of a dimmer channel a 'normal' chase may not show if the channels are already up on another active playback. There are different ways around this using LTP and other settings but one quick one to try is to use a Dimmer FX rather than recording a chase.

Hello friend, thanks for the info. Yes i did what u told me and even learned to use this function, but my wish is that independete the position, color, gobo, my shape of DIMMER is activated without disfigure the scene I had already activated. Unable to use the function to record only one channel as you told me, but for the use of shape, I could not ...

Thiago Martins This is perfectly possible but the playback must only have DIM data in it to leave the rest of the scene. How this happens depends on what you do. To set up Activate by Channel you need to go into Setup>Prog>Activate by Chan. Then you need to make sure that the programmer is completely clear before only calling dimmer data into it (Head @ Full etc) The programmer must only show dimmer levels in red and nothing else. There are some elements in which this result can be affected by other things, but this is the main way to ensure that you can overlay one scene onto another, leaving many attributes from the original intact.

Hello! Unfortunately I could not succeed in my problem. I can perfectly record a channel playback using only color or gobo for example, but I can not even dimmer. Can you give me your email so I send you a simple video, recorded by my Iphone right, I did my recording step by step without success? Thank you!
