The King's Singers über das Ensemble:
„What’s so impressive about the Jugendkonzertchor is their sense an ensemble. These are six young musicians who are clearly gifted listeners as well as gifted singers. It's something you can immediately see in the unity in their performances: how they shape words and phrases together, and how all the parts balance so well. These singers all have a bright future, and I’m excited to see what they produce next.”
Barnaby Smith (Voces8) über das Ensemble:
“What a pleasure to experience a youthful group committing themselves so fully and with such incredible success to the artform of ensemble singing. Your beautiful voices weave together to achieve amazingly pure ensemble and intonation, and you present with such ease and enjoyment, it makes me so grateful to be one of your colleagues in this art. I wish you every success as you sail on your barge of brilliance into a world which needs to hear the joy you bring with your music.”

I don’t care that you broke the phrasing- it makes for a refreshing interpretation.
A lovely young sound, and quite captivating. Well sung!

Pretty voices, but it is unfortunate that they systematically broke the phrasing after "Beati" as it is one of the core melodic themes that makes the motet flow and is prevalent through almost half the work. I am not sure who or what led them to do this, but it was ill-advised.

i agree completely ... in this piece music and words have to flow constantly .... but it is not easy to realize this with just 6 voices .... even Voces8 apply more voices ...

Great..but they must have had a reason to execute the phrase. but whose idea is this?
