I was in the field eating some chips I brought and accidently inhaled one. Immediately I knew I had no ability to breathe or speak. An immediate sense of panic filled me. Fortunately my buddy was with me and I made the universal choking sign and he was able to perform the heimlich. Since then, I've always been afraid of choking while alone

I swallowed a whole ice cube once from drinking a fizzy drink it was a horrible feeling in the throat plus it was big not tiny after i swallowed it my throat felt like sand paper it was like the same feeling when you get a really bad sore throat
Lol this is exactly what I did when I choked on soda water . I had no air like zero . I was definitely gonna die . An my brain just started thinking fast I saw a desk an ran into it chest first. An I could breath again . An I figured it out on my own on the fly . Good to know I was right
I was watching a funny vid of a kid choking while eating and i thought to myself i might choke while watching this so i went to google how to save myself from choking just in case and now im here
I was choking on cornflakes . I thought it would dissolve. I plonked down on the lounge, then coughed. My lungs hurt from the force of the cough it took to remove it, that surprised me. Guess my body worked for me. I think it could have been the plonking down on the lounge that helped force it up. I've now looked it up. Yeah I was walking and eating.

this scares me, I know I could save someone's life but I don't know If I could save my own, this video makes me feel better, I would've tried giving myself a heimlich maneuver with my own hands, but putting myself up against a table or chair would be better and could be the difference of dying or living. I eat like a pig sometimes I really need to not do that lol.
@@user-jt7ic1je3r I agree if choking then drinking water hoping it will wash down… it doesn’t. But drinking something fizzy like sparkling water or any carbonated drink will help. It’s sorted it when I’ve no one around to whack me in my back

I get strangled a lot on my own saliva and what has saved me is lifting up both arms and saying Jesus..sometimes it's not possible to say Jesus but the few times I wasn't able to call him out,he made sure my grandson was here to get behind me and lift me up...and do the himlick remover.

I know right I get so anxious about choking hazards it’s come to the point I only drink my calories or eat very soft food
Drink fizzy pop. The gas may help,dislodge the food. Happened to me yesterday. Was able to cough, vomit and food dislodged. Scary !!
NEVER DRINK FLUIDS WHEN CHOKING

There's a difference in choking and having something lodged in your esophagus. Burping does not dislodge something in the trachea (actual choking).
it is good to do quick hard stomach thrusts and upwards just above the belly button fist thumb other hand over to aid with push and push upwards
