Still don't understand why being an anniversary release of the Album ,why wasn't it released as a three disc .
Two CDs of the Concerts plus the DVD of the documentary of the China Concerts .
This was originally released by Polydore Video on VHS in the 90's

Agree. In general this release is nearly identical to the one from 2014, difference is a digipack format and the second booklet with event posters.
Maybe because the primary idea was to reissue a double vinyl album, when CD version was just an addition to it. Dont know JMJs plans though)

Bit of a rip off if u ask me, I mean if you own any of the the previous incarnations of this album, then your only paying for a repackaged and split cd version as the same re issue. Agree that it could have had a Dvd or Blu ray added, I would have brought it then. I buy most JMJ releases, but will not worry about this one. Thanks for showing us the cd and booklets. Even they are a disappointment to be honest.

Better the original editions, except for the original street posters in China back in the time (though they should have included more pictures of the concert and people)

no tiene ningún sentido ,mas de lo mismo , si realmente quieren hacer algo memorable la empresa dueño de todo el material de jarre incluyendo los conciertos en videos deberían empezar a re-editar y remasterizar los conciertos en formato blu ray en forma integra incluyendo todos los tracks sin mutilaciones , ademas deberian lanzar los discos en estudio en formato blu ray de audio donde podamos experimentar el audio 5.1 o 7.1 dolby atmos , ya es hora de que todo el talento de jean michel jarre salga a la luz con verdaderas ediciones de lujo para sus fanaticos de corazon , esperemos que sony se ponga manos a la obra y empieze a trabajar seriamente

I will just keep it by my original first copy on vinyl an yellow and blue release of the cd.

This remaster sounds terrible - lots of unnecessary dynamic compression. The original Polydor/Dreyfus pressings (CD or LP) sound the best.

Poquita cosa, me quedo con el original de POLYDOR, y el del 2014. Ahora, la masterización, sin duda la primera impresión en cd de 1982, el del 2014 es para tenerlo mas bonito, la remasterización bastante mala. Soy fan de Jarre pero esta no me la cuela, a parte de que aborrezco el formato digipack. Gracias por el unboxing!

es mas de lo mismo , no tiene sentido ,nose si sony ahora es el dueño de todo el material de jarre incluyendo los conciertos en video desde el fallecimiento de dreyfus pero si es asi ya es hora de trabajar seriamente , remasterizar y re-editar los conciertos y lanzarlos en blu ray en forma integra sin mutilaciones de tracks como se ven en los vhs y dvds que son un desastre, audios 2.0 lpcm y 5.1 dts-hd , además seria ideal lanzar los álbumes en estudio en formato blu ray de audio para experimentar el sonido en 5.1 o dolby atmos , sony puede además algo memorable para los fanáticos de jarre que deje un legado como se lo merece. espero que sony se ponga las pilar y empiece a trabajar con la tencnologia actual se hacen maravillas
