My Dear Madam please tell me that do native speakers speak like this.??👇 "What will become of my family if I lose my job.??" Or should I say.. "What will happen to my family if I lose my job.?" Or is there any other way to say this kind of thing.????
Hi Hitesh, no, not really. It's very formal! You would definitely read that kind of phrase in classic literature, but nowadays it would be more common to say 'What will happen...' You might also say 'What am I gonna do if I lose my job?' 'How will I support my family?' or 'What are we gonna do...? ('we' meaning you and your family).
I don't wanna sound as if I am blowing my own trumpet and singing my praises. However, I don't really know how I managed to fluke this one by getting them all right 🤔
