Series of events:
-May 4th, 2021 - Coinbase Announces they will list ICP May 10th, 2021
-May 6th, 2021 - FTX starts allowing futures trading on ICP (Even though ICP token doesn't launch until May 10th, 2021). Over the course of 4 days, FTX futures traders effectively drive the price of ICP to unsustainable levels. All before retail investors get a chance to buy in.
-May 10th, 2021 - Binance announces they will list ICP token, 1 hour before ICP launches.
May 10th, 2021 ICP token launches, and FTX futures traders short the market.
-May 12th, 2021 - Crypto market crashes due to Elon Musk tweet
-May 10th, 2021 - to May 19th, 2021 - Bitcoin retraces 49.58% in just 19 days.
-July 20th, 2021 - After a 71 day bear market, Bitcoin finally reverses.
Conclusion: Coinbase, and FTX & the FTX futures traders pumped the price of ICP before it was available to retail investors. In addition, the crypto market started collapsing the same day ICP launched, and the crash was accelerated by Elon Musk tweets.
In the end, most people only see the start of Tradingview ICP chart data on 5/11/21. They fail to realize that futures data exists prior to the launch from 5/6/21 to 5/10/21 which is omitted from the ICP Tradingview charts.

If you think Elon caused any crash you’re an idiot , he timed his tweets with the actual top of bitcoin to make it seem like he had more influence , it was crashing anyways, otherwise good info
Amazing video! ICP price is an opportunity for those who miss Solana or Avalanche but in my opinion ICP is a superior tech because is the only project that is 100% on chain.

I completely agree with your take on the situation. I think that the market forces and the crypto selloff had much to do with the decline in ICP price. Combine that with the negative sentiment due to potential investor scam/rug pull has many not wanting to buy into this coin. I think ICP is one of those opportunities now where investors can truly make some great profits in the future. Great project with an amazing team.

I actually bought some icp at the wrong time and i bought some at low cost to offset original purchase price. Where do you see ICP going in 5 -10 years?
For sure, I have some icp staked for 8 years so 5-10 is kind of my longer term hold unless things go parabolic.
Hoping we would see at least a 75- 100 billion market cap.
have you used Dfinity's chain yet and read their roadmap? if not, go check it out. use it. send some coins around, it costs nothing and transaction are instantaneous. buy an NFT, list it, sell it. you pay no gas. use their dapps, costs nothing to use. i don't really care about prices, but if you've used ICP, you realize its's going to dominate once it's fully realized. it's revolutionary. every chain ive used can't compete. and ICP is barely out of beta
