Beautiful sound from the V10 engine of Formula 1, it is not like the mixer engines that equip F1 cars today ... And this was undoubtedly the golden age of the Ferrari team ruled by Maestro Michael Schumacher having as its distant shadow the then Rubens Barrichello, who unfortunately never had a time in the team, as he worked only and exclusively for the "Maestro", but as the world goes around many times today the same team that always favored only one driver and dominated F1 at the beginning of the 2000s nowadays is just an average team, with a car that is not competitive where there is no engine power since last year and that has a driver who won 4 world titles, but is leaving the team and totally unmotivated and a young driver who has a promising future in the category, and what is worse to have to see the Mercedes team dominate F1 since 2014 at the hands of Hamilton breaking the hegemony imposed by Ferrari and the "Maestro" between the years 2000 to 2004.
This is accurate unlike Moto Gp 20 where the historical races are with riders and machines that differ in eras and years (Rossi with Honda of 2003 and Lorenzo with Yamaha from the 2010's in the same race) . The F1 games are clearly ahead from the Moto GP games.
Cosmetically I love racing this car. It is the Ferrari F2000 *cosmetically* but sadly Codies cut corners once again. It is literally the F2002 in terms of physics and the dead giveaway is the Traction Control on the car which didn't make an appearance on this era of car until 2001. So hooray we got the F2000 but Codies could have at least reworked the physics to reflect the twitchiness of these cars. Without TC it would have been a real monster to control which I'd have loved. And they thought we wouldn't notice 👀😂
I noticed on PC with high graphics settings the F1 23 game looks a lot better than it does on PS5. F1 23 is also still available on the old gen consoles, which I believe is part of the reason why the graphics haven't improved that much. The developers simply need to make sure the game also runs on old PS4 hardware.
