Theo and Bee gave up their busy city lifestyles in 2014 to explore alternative living, and have lived in vans and boats since then without looking back! Along with their cat Ginjey Bear they have been driving around the world in their self converted Sprinter van. However, when the global pandemic hit they began converting their abandoned stone barn in Central Portugal to turn into a wonderful tiny stone cottage. Along the way, they have rescued a playful cat called Furrnando and have a wonderful flock of Chickens!

You go girl😂nothing beats skinny dipping on a hot day. My late husband had a great saying when something like that happened. If they've not seen it before then they don't know what it is, if they have than it's no great surprise . So glad you enjoyed the freedom❤

It was soooo good to see all the cherry trees that did survive the fire‼️ It was wild to see the tree that snapped - full of cherries at the top yet dead in the trunk. Thank you Bea for taking us for a walk around the stone house property once again. It was good to see it again👍😊‼️
If you have it flaunt it !!!! great work on the off grid and so many memories but its time to get it gone our uncle is selling my nan,s home where I grew up and spent most of my early life until my twenties, each time we go it gets less and less like nans house hard to put into words, but I wont be as sad when it does sell !! Great adventure
We have a swim spa in a large subdivision. Skinny Dipping is the only way to swim. We have a carport over it with shade cloth. God forbids if our gardener showed ip unexpected.

Can you please explain to us why cutting down the foliage, but leaving it where it falls, is a fire deterrent? It seems like if it’s just laying there is could still catch fire and spread??
I’ve wondered the same thing about using the wood chipper….wouldn’t the wood chips catch fire and spread?
Yeah no problem, The reason for keeping grass low is to stop it becoming fuel for trees and large brush. The chances of a tree catching fire is a lot less when there is not 1 metres of tall grass running up the trunk. The cut grass dies very quickly and decomposes it the hot sun turns a dust. Hope that helps.

You should pick those ripe fruits and take them to a market. We pay over $12 per kilo for fresh cherries here in Australia. I absolutely love them but they are so expensive. We always grew them on our farm but we had to be quick to harvest them before the birds saw them. You could even advertise for people to pay for the privilege of picking their own fruits. Lots of farmers do that here. It’s such a shame for them to go to waste. 😊😊😊

What a refreshing swim after a noisy, dusty, hot day of trimming.
Skinny dipping is lovely! And as Theo said: “part of the “unknown” fun .. is possibly being spotted/caught! Lol.. if only you were an exhibitionist!
I’m modest too; and once was pulled out of a lake “after hours!” .. 14 of us swimming in Cedar Lake! (Spring fed/CHILLY!) .. in the land of 10,000 lakes. (Loon our state bird.) After bar close/ early AM. Having to vacate under the cops flood lights. It was hard to find our clothes, as blinded by the intense flood lights. All make cops. And I one of two girls, with 12 male’s (80’s punk/underground) so lots of crazy hair -streaking to our “needed” clothes. No citations; just needed to vacate. ASAP!! All on motorcycles. Still have fond memories 37 on. When the weather is just right and I can smell the sweet grass. Native to the Midwest.
So glad to see the both of you thriving, getting lots done, and sharing your wonderful life/journey; creating amazing homesteads! Despite major setbacks; all while facing major heath concerns. Both of you are always in our daily prayers! As beloved! And heartfelt souls living a wonderful life. Much labor; yet worthy, and true, stewards. ~m Take care. ~m
