Ah man, this feels like the right time to join the FGC. Sf6 was a great beginner game for me and now KI got its little update and bump in players. What a time to be alive

I always liked how this game had a lot of monsters compared to most fighting games.
The 'Normal Dudes' are vastly outnumbered.

It's been great jumping back in recently with the amount of players checking it out. For a time even ranked on Steam is pretty active!

Because the steam version of ranked is normal, while the microsoft version of ranked is still tied Xbox Live.
To say that I know nothing about Killer Instinct would be a major understatement, but I enjoy watching Sajam play anything.
All you need to know is it's one of, if not THE, most hype fighting games ever made. The way the music syncs with strikes is just awesome

Man I love this game's soundtrack. Thunder's stage theme goes unbelievably hard. This game introduced me to Mick Gordon's music, I've been listening to the OST for these decade.
This is wonderful to see. Time to get back into Killer Instinct!
Also, Keits seems like just... the most awesome guy. Every time I see anything with him, it's always so good.

I have been crazy addicted to KI and Halo Infinite for the past month, loving Xbox right now
So hype to see some KI, it’s my favorite fighting game to watch it’s so fucking cool
If u like it that much I'd recommend buying and playing it too, xbox is almost certainly evaluating interest in the franchise rn for consideration of a new installment in the franchise

This game is on Xbox game Pass so I tried it out, and it’s something I desperately want to play with some friends. Feels like Mortal Kombat went turbo mode
Same, played KI for the first time this week and I was impressed im loving Arbiter and Riptor
Got it one day on Steam (didn’t know there was a F2P version lmao) cuz I wanted to try out RAAM like a month or two ago. I love the big body grapplers.
Didn’t like it at first, gave it a second chance after the update, TURNED OFF COMBO ASSIST, started fighting AI Jago, and fell in love.
I want to learn the skeleton man some day, but I find it complicated to use his gimmick… still learning RAAM so I guess I should master the Gears guy before learning another character.
As someone who's never played KI it's great to see such an old game (10 years wtf??) still get love from its devs
I looked at the patch notes, have no clue about KI but I like that before but I do like that they prefaced about 700 word's worth of nerfs for one char with "It looks like we found that time machine after all."
it's crazy how after all these years KI still is one of the best looking games to see. I'm so glad they added Rash so I had aa reason to give the game a try, even though I don't play him.
It feels so good for new life to be breathed into my favorite game. Life is good

Game is not good enough gameplay wise unfortunately. Remove the pretty graphics and the soundtrack and its literally rock, paper, scissors with your friend.
Zero depth. You will be guessing 70% of the time.

@@Sdoots I remember that being the case for the past few years since Iron Galaxy had moved onto other projects after season 3. At this point though, I actually have no idea what Iron Galaxy has been up to since Rumbleverse shut down its servers. If they've been free since then...maybe we can hope.

Goddamn, high/low mix is brutal in this game.
a little bummed out that tusk didn't get more, although, a lot of characters he struggled with are worse now iirc
Tusk doesn't struggle too badly against most characters. His command dash lets him get around a lot of projectiles, his buttons are humongous, and his damage is bananas. Not getting new stuff is a little disappointing, but the game was already rather reasonably balanced, so they didn't want to change too much and potentially ruin that.

God I love that ki is coming back on a special unrelated though would you be interested in seeing a budokai 3 mod that revamps the entire game into a proper full fledged fighting game?
would like if could wait for ranked and/or exhibition matches while in training mode, in steam version the waiting time for both modes is a lot of minutes
I don't think you can sit in training. But exhibition is cross platform so you will have an easier time finding

yo guys, I appeal to your saviness and wisdom. Does the bug that prevented many to play online (me included) has been fixed? I really, really, REALLY love the game, but being limited to only play it in local is a big deal

Unfortunately I don't think so, which is disappointing to say as someone who finds it and the hit sparks hard to watch to the point of being literally a bit nauseating. A shame really.

I really think us playing the new patch is what they are using to gauge if it will be worth it or not. So please please please. Play KI
@@lurklimit8378 it would take years to develop, it makes more sense that they did that to keep the community active and spread the game before an announcement, the rise of guilty gear a niche franchise and the new SF make more sense to be reason to want to develop a new KI than see if the old one can get more players
I hope not. I dont trust Iron Galaxy to make good gameplay after what they did to this game after the first 2 seasons.

As someone who finds this game literally slightly nausaeating to watch between the all screen shaking and overdone hit sparks despite being able to keep with the _Marvel_ games no problem, I really hope it's a RUclips-only issue because it is awful. And that still hurts a bit to say as someone who was glad that _Killer Instinct_ got revived at all.
At least I can listen to the awesome music without getting a headache, but trying to watch this game for like more than 10 minutes is...off-putting just visually to me unlike any other game.
It's going to be so sad when a sequel comes out and this game dies
this game is so hideous in like a mid 2000s midway monster energy drink ride or die can u handle the ps2? kinda charming way. The female models are especially awful, like the poster girls you saw on graphics cards in the late 2000s.

Wonder how many game breaking bugs were introduced with this patch. Day 1 2013 fulgore main only. I know about change. The most reworked character of all time....and overcame all. Iron galaxy the worst dev....back then....still bad by today's standards
