This was the first book I had finished in nearly a decade. I struggle to find motivation of my own to do many things, even for enjoyment. Thank you for providing such depth to this novel. Your comments also helped immensely at understanding story elements I may have overlooked. My first Dostoevsky book. But not my last!
I'm so glad that I was able to join in on listening to these as you recorded them. It feels almost as if I have been on a journey with you in this book. I could have gone to any other channel to try and finish the book up when I got engrossed in the story, but I didn't really want to. It didn't feel right. None of the other channels/readers matched your talent and hard work you put into these. Such as: the character voices, the hard to understand terms you put up, covering the epilogue which as you stated some versions do not include, as well as the research, history and notes that you made and shared at the end of the videos. Frankly, I am not the best at enjoying reading. I usually tend to fall asleep when I read a bit longer than what I normally do. However, I wanted to broaden my knowledge and experience so I started looking for good audio books. A search which led me here. In short I am not sure I would have enjoyed this book or finished it if it hadn't been for you and your channel. So thank you! It was a truly wonderful experience, and Im so glad this was my first exposure to the book. I cannot wait to listen to the final video with your concluding thoughts, or to see what book you will cover next! Many thanks - AGN
Thank you very much for the kind words! I'm very glad the the project could be of service to you! I'm afraid my final comments might take longer than I'd like; I've got competing writing projects on my plate. But I look forward to composing them and completing the playlist!
Thank you for your exerted effort. I highly appreciate your expertise in the manifestation of your project. I look forward to the final concluding thoughts... simply can't wait!
Thanks kindly! I'm working on those comments now...but there is so much to cover here that they are running a bit long. :) I hope to have them up within a week!
Thank you for taking the time. I enjoyed your inflection and reflections. This was my first time through Crime and Punishment, and I found it insightful.
I’m beyond grateful for your contributions here. You and I have now read four books and shared many a late night. I often wish we knew a little bit more about you. Having spent so much time ‘together’, I have numerous questions about these projects - your voices, research, preparation, background/bio, etc. If any resources are currently available or you feel inclined to share some time, I think channel viewers would welcome it. Cheers, and thank you infinitely!
Thank you very kindly! I'm glad that the channel has been of service! I don't know if you have come across this video already, but it touches upon a little of what you just mentioned: ruclips.net/video/ZAz1OXygMlE/видео.html In the current context, I'm a bit on the reclusive side (I enjoy keeping this activity separate from my public-facing life), but this link has a bit of biographical info and goes a little bit into the history of this project.
Hey Hippias Minor, I really enjoy your work. I was wondering whether you have ever considered allowing for download or purchase of your work (.mp3) via some other platform, like librivox or something? I, and I'm sure many or most of your audience, would really love to listen to your audiobook recordings on the go. Your narration and voice really suits Dostoyevsky's writings and is also one of the better narration-voices in general. If the request seems out of the way, then please still accept the compliment! Truly the best Dostoyevsky voice out there! Thank you, MBTM
Thank you very much for these kind remarks! The truth is, technologically, I basically live under a rock, and so I'm vastly uninformed about how I could go about doing this--e.g., what kind of platforms I could use for free, etc. (I do know that Librivox in particular isn't compatible with my vision, since they don't want the narrator interjecting comments.) I also did do the work with YT in mind, and so there'd be a bit of work managing a transition of format. But you're not the first person to suggest something along these lines, and I really ought to crawl out from under that rock and see what's available. Thanks very kindly for the suggestion and for the interest!
Whatever your name is, sir. May God bless you. I've been listening to your one of a kind diverse tone narration. It's been a pleasure. White nights, notes from the underground and this. Now the Idiot.🫡
I agree the ending is fantastic the way it is with the epilogue, I find it immensely inspiring!
Thank you so much for the great work!

Hippias Minor = legend. Congrats on this accomplishment.
I SECOND THIS STATEMENT
Thank you for these, please make more, Doestoyevski is an incredible author and you do such a great job narrating him
