What people don't understand is Pope is remembering the best team he ever played on, the 96 untouchables. He's recruiting defensive soul smashers and gonna wear teams out w them and be intimidating down low.
Yes! Exactly.
@@jkckmarcumful I just can't help but be excited and I can see his line of thinking he ran four different defensive sets in his victory over Kansas last year!! And to imagine people aren't excited about a 22-year-old far more proven stronger and mentally mature player than any freshman
I love the cool, calm and methodical way Mark Pope goes about his business. The pieces are precisely coming together.
Can't wait tonsee the team this year. Great episode Steven #BIGBLUENATION
Welcome to KY. Thanks for picking Ky..Go Cats. 🏀🏆
LET'S GOOOOOOO!
This is huge and shows Pope and the staff know what their doing, this look like a solid defensive core their building right now. Anybody remember that Baylor squad with Jared Butler, Akinjo and mark vital that skull dragged the Zags in the championship game a few years ago?? Looks like Their building a roster like that in a way, an its interesting that baylors associate head coach is now at UK. Im interested in seeing now if jaxon Robinson comes and if they can get great osobor too, this team already has a solid core that is stronger than last season.
Love the emphasis on getting defensive players! Now to add a few shooters and I like the way this team is shaping up!
Thanks, Steven. Brandon is correct to be concerned. You have to have some offense. That's what doomed Tubby, all defense and no offense. Go, Cats!!
A huge difference here is that Mark Pope employs an extremely active offensive scheme that is reminiscent of Coach Pitino’s offense with the 1996 Cats. I have to believe that the coaching staff is prioritizing recruiting defense first because we were awful defensively last season.
Need to add another, Go Cats!
I'd like to see Great Osobor join the Cats
Lets Go CATS! 🐾🐾🎵🔵
Now we got Otega Oweh!
There’s this thing called sets, street ball cal had no idea what that was. Pipe does and will make an offense work with what we have.
Welcome to kentucky 😊 BBN 💙🤍🏀🔥
Go Big Blue! #1BBN
Let’s Go Big Blue
L saw him play last year in one of the games agant sandford sandage state and he really
good lm so. glad thatlamer butter is going to Kentucky go big blue welcome tokentucky
Yes a guard that can actually not get blowed by everytime like our previous guards.
Woot! Now they can play 2v2 in practice 😂
Haha we can always play in the BIG3 tournament
Getting hype over role players is wild lmfaooo
How many of Cal's 5*s in the last several years ever made it to the national championship game? This guy took a mid-major there! That's almost unheard of!
@@wtk6069why crap we had five stars come here and look like role players. Alot of those kids cal got was beyond overrated.
UConn just won back to back natties with very few 5 stars. Older, more physical players win titles nowadays.
@@wtk6069 so what makes you think a small fish in a small pond is going to be successful in an ocean of talent? Also the tournament is random, anybody at any time can be beat if they don’t play their best.
@@erinmichaels8195 they were also able to score points…ya know the thing that actually counts! This roster doesn’t have any scorers on it yet so until then you really can’t have any confidence in it
